Best non-gel stick pen ever
Amazon lists these as "Staedtler Medium 0.5mm 430 Stick Ballpoint Pen"; Staedtler website calls them "Staedtler Stick 430 M Ballpoint Pen".First and foremost, this is a 0.5mm BALLPOINT PEN. It has a ballpoint nib, not a needle. It feels & writes similarly to a Bic ballpoint, but the quality is much nicer. This pen writes incredibly well for being a regular old-school type of stick pen. The ink is smooth with no skipping, it lasts for a while, it's inexpensive, and it's comfortable to hold. The barrel is thinner overall when comparing to a Bic ballpoint, which I prefer.I've included a photo to show line width comparisons of some of my favorite pens from multiple manufacturers. This is the only ballpoint pen on the comparison, so we're not exactly comparing apples to apples in terms of the ink or nib. My chart is strictly for ink line width comparison only, as a previous reviewer here on Amazon complained about the line width of this pen.I'm guessing this reviewer saw the "0.5mm", ignoring the rest of the description stating that it's classified as a medium line. Perhaps they equate a 0.5mm as having a finer physical nib like the Pilot Precise V5, which is physically very finely pointed yet yields a similar ink line width? I dunno.IMO, this pen feels & writes more toward the fine spectrum than medium, so if you like a thicker line then you may want to size up. If you are a die-hard fine line person, you will probably find the line to be too thick. If I were rating ballpoint pens only, this definitely gets a 5/5 for general use writing pens.

Nice pens.
Pens are very nice. Some similarity to the classic Bic crystal stick pens; but these are girthier and, with the cap placed on the back, a good bit longer I think, which makes them feel more balanced and substantial. Writing quality is smooth, even though the Medium point is only .5mm which would usually be called Fine. I was worried these might be scratchy on paper, but they are not.The only problem was that one of the blue pens came with a broken cap--the clip had broken off (prior to packaging because the piece is not there) and the remaining section is very sharp. Not a huge issue; but you should know that the seller just bagged up a selection of loose pens into a plastic zip bag--i.e. not in the original packaging.

They're ok.
I didn't find anything in particular about these to be spectacular as some claimed. They perform fairly well with very little skip in ink (not perfect) They feel fairly cheap in the Hand.

Good for extended writing. Bigger quantities needed
Husbands favourite pens to use. Very comfortable to write with for longer periods of time. Removed a star because they do not come in original packaging rather in a sandwich bag. Also, it would be more value for money if you had the option of purchasing bigger quantities
