Protect your face and head with comfort and ease, keeping cool in the process ....
This is one seriously useful piece of kit when it comes to stopping you breathing in unnecessary particles into your lungs. But it comes at a price. This is basically a working helmet with a built in face covering visor having a cloth inner which fits your face to stop anything getting behind the visor. It also has two filters, one either side, with an air filtration fan powered by a rechargeable battery which sits at the back of the head. The helmet sits comfortably on the head as it has adjustable straps inside, together with what they call a “Revolutionary flex wheel rachet harness make this the most comfortable safety helmet I’ve ever wore. The visor wraps around the face neatly, protecting what it covers. It claims to be able to take the force of 6mm steel ball bearing fired at 270mph. I’ve not put it to the test but I have knocked the visor about a bit as I’ve used it and it’s left no marks, no scratches or smears. Which is a good sign. The cloth inside the visor fits around the face with remarkable comfort too, which, in turns, stops anything from getting behind the visor onto your face or even worse, your eyes. The battery pack isn’t the smallest but it’s pretty lightweight and doesn’t cause any hassles resting in place on the back of the helmet. The filter system works exactly as it should, filtering the bad air and only allowing the good air inside the visor. This means you’re breathing in fresher air no matter what you’re working with. You even get an airflow indicator which is a simple way to check if the filters are still working as they should. It all comes in a well made, protective zip up case which has inner pouches for the bits which come with this, battery, charger, air flow tester. Keeping everything in its place. This case is easy to carry with a handle, shoulder straps or a single over the shoulder strap. In all, a great bit of kit indeed which is ideal for many work where the particles in the air may well cause you harm in one way or another. Up to know I’ve used this whilst I’ve been spraying and sanding wood and it’s worked perfectly well, doing exactly what it’s designed to do.It's comfortable and protects your face, plus, although they don’t come in the box, you can get ear phones which clip onto the sides of the helmet, dropping over the ears when needed. But, as I said, the earphones don’t come with this. But is it worth the £695.51 price tag (At time of writing). Well, if you wear a visor for work, or hobby, and maybe a hard hat, then this is worth investing in as it offers more protection than your average visor and hard hat. It could turn out money well spent.
