Better then I thought.
This turned out better then I thought. For install they say use the soap and water method. I however did not do that. I prayed 2 sprays of windex, just because that's what a guy that tints windows told me to use. I rubbed the windex over the area the sticker was going. I used a hard card and got the extra liquid out from under the sticker then let it dry. I went on etsy to sticker factory and order the army green letter insert. I'm happy with the results and how it turned out.

These fit 05 to 2023 Tacoma
I love this product, these were made for a 3rd gen tacoma and I took a chance to see if they would fit my second gen. They fit great! They are even better for protection also because they have a countered edge.

You have to be perfect.
Recommend using sharpie to mark placement. You have to place perfect at angle under carpet windlace before pressing on door sill. 1st protector went on perfect, but second was slight angle showing paint. I could not lift up even before curving over door sill.

Use the SOAP AND WATER METHOD!
Great product, went on fairly easy just take your time. I read through the reviews and even though I was positive the soap and water method was best, I wanted to test out the peel and stick method (peeling off top half, gentle lining up, and then pressing from the inside to the outer edges) for research anyway. The peel and stick method was definitely easier to stick down, especially where the decal needs to fold down over the edge, but that way left me with a couple small bubbles. Those bubbles were small (last picture) but definitely noticable enough to be bothersome. However, I did do that one on the least used door in my truck so I think it was worth the experiment.Soap and water method was definitely the superior way of applying the decals. It allows you to adjust slightly before pressing into place. The bottom folding edges are a tad more laborious to get to stay down but definitely worth the extra few minutes per decal. Just keep starting at the center and push the decal down while pushing the water out. I used a couple microfibers instead of a squeegee to help soak up any moisture as I pressed down.A couple notes:Make sure you put the right decal on each side. I see some pics that have them on backwards and then mention them having a problem with the folding part. On each decal theres a part with a notch cut out, that notch faces the door hinges. If you put the flat edge toward the door hinge, it will still face the emblems and lettering the right way but, it will give you problems sticking down at the corners.Make sure to clean under the seal/trim/gaskets before using rubbing alcohol. I did a quart of warm water and about a 1/2 tsp of dawn soap to clean the area before wiping with alcohol and a microfiber. After cleaning with alcohol you should wet the area AND the backside of the peeled decal with water/soap solution before applying. It doesn't have to be flooded, but if it is, its okay, it'll be easy to make adjustments, but might take a little longer to set in place when you press down.Lastly, you can use doors floorboard trim as a frame of reference of where to place them. The interior's plastic trim has cuts that are the exact lengths of the decals, so just use those to map out where to place them, and make sure your notch is faced the right way.Overall its worth the money and effort for the OEM decals.
