Pat Sloan's Holiday Hoopla: 12 Quilts for Everyday & Special Occasions

I love this book. It's filled with easy projects for every month of the year. Each project has clear directions and is easy enough for a beginner. Can't wait to start on one! Pat Sloan is a fantastic quilter and teacher.

I follow the author

Pat has written many good books, and I was happy to add this one to my collection. In addition to the patterns, Pat includes fun days to celebrate for each month. There are a variety of different sized projects. Many of these could be adjusted to make bigger quilts if desired. Most of the projects fit a variety of holidays or any day/month. My favorites include May Day, Stars and Stripes, and Love Your Library. Pat’s directions are always very clear—both the words and images. Pat will be doing a sampler sewalong with this book too. I bought the book for one specific pattern but to my delight I found it full of fun patterns. Usually, books only have 1 or 2 patterns that are my style, but this book has many. I'm very happy I made this purchase. Very fast shipping, too.

A small quilt is shown for each special holiday of the year. Photos show the finished quilt and directions are clearly written. I bought it to make the library quilt but I suspect I will make others shown the book.

I like the colourful patterns and the clear instructions in this compilation of patchwork. I am never disappointed with buying Pat Sloan’s books.
