Ordered for my husband. He said it works great!

The grommet tool works good. I mounted it to a 1” thick piece of wood to add support to the base. The punches are alittle dull so you really have to hit them to get them to go through the banner material. I’ll use a file to sharpen them which I would have had to do for maintenance anyways. Overall it’s a good press for the price.

This is the second attempt at purchasing a hand press. First one (different brand) was a disaster. So, with low expectations, I took a chance on this one.First, what I don't like:1) poor finishing of the casting. There are sharp edges & metal burrs that need grinding off. The handle almost cut my hand doing a test press. The enamel was simply sprayed over these protrusions.2) it's dirty. My hands are grimmey from putting it together. Once again, this is finishing work.3) the included grommets are lightweight. This is not an issue for my project, but, just be aware. I have not tested other grommets yet. ( I will update when I do)4) no handle grip included. A grip will make using this press more comfortable.These are my reasons for deducting a star. If I did not have a resource for grinding down these burrs I would be less excited and most likely to return it. I have read this complaint on most brands/models offered here on Amazon.Reasons I really like this little machine:1) smooth operation. Crimping the grommet took very little force. Possibly may take a tad more with heavier grommets.2) it came with easy, color picture instructions. It is fairly intuitive, but other reviews (on other presses) noted a lack of instructions.3) the handle pivot & press shaft are well aligned.4) the test grommets came out well. In the spirit of full disclosure, I didn't use the provided cutting punch on my test fabric, but a quick nip with my scissors. Let's just say my past experiences with grommets taught me that lesson. To be fair, I didn't buy this for the punches.5) price. It's an economicle press for a crafter. I will use this a bunch, but don't need a professional level press.6) shipping was very quick. 3 days and it was at my doorstep.I hope your experience with this press is as positive as mine.

Works well

The tools in the box smell like mold. Handle is crudely finished and sharp, Be careful handling.Included cutting dies are not sharp and are useless. Tool and rings should be functional as far as I can see. I’ll let you know after cutting a hole.

Very happy with it!

I like this press because it is easy to use and swap out die sizes quickly. However, I bought this on May 18th 2023 and 6 months later it is already broken. I have used around 200 grommets with this and today it broke with normal use. The meatal must be super low quality.
