great ingredients list!
Wish I got this product about five years into the future as my skin is still young and does not need retinol treatment at this stage. However, I absolutely recommend this product.Firstly, the ingredients list for this serum is (personally) amazing. Not only is it an extensive list, meaning you are getting your money's worth, but also it has great benefits. Often I find that products will have a long list of useless ingredients that do not do much. This serum, on the other hand, has 1 primary acne-fighting ingredient, 3 naturally complexion brightening ingredients, 1 ingredient promoting wound-healing, and 4 anti-aging ingredients.Facetheory products in general are also very safe to use on the skin as they are free from alcohol, parabens, silicone, sulfates, and are safe for fungal acne and are EU allergen-free. I have mildly sensitive skin and I have not experienced any flare ups with their serums or moisturisers (the only thing that gave me a stinging feeling was their glycolic acid toner for obvious reasons).I also love how they paired retinol with hyaluronic acid as this is super beneficial. For those who are 25+, this is the perfect product to slowly introduce into your routine (from 1x a week to 2x and then gradually 3x).The formula has the usual feel and I recommend waiting a couple of minutes for it to sink in before moving on to the next step in your routine as this will allow your skin to absorb it better instead of mixing with the next product, making it hard to blend in.Love this underrated brand and, although pricey, it is definitely for a (good) reason. If it is in your budget and you are looking to try something new from a trustworthy brand, I highly recommend. Your skin will thank you a couple years down the line.

Visible results already only lose a star for the consistency.
For many years I have been a loyal Elemis user but I have pigmentation on my cheeks which their whitening range hasn’t touched so I started to research active ingredients that target this and came up with a few brands that have these ingredients in their skincare and this is where I discovered Facetheory.I purchased the Vitamin C cleanser, Porebright and the Amil C- Whip spf 30 all of which I love but I felt like I was missing something to replace my anti-aging serum so I was looking forward to trying this Hyaluret serum added to the fact that this is a British brand which I love to support where possible and also this is vegan and cruelty free product too so gets another brownie point from me and means I can recommend to a lot of people I know who struggle to find products that work that full into these categories. The look of the packaging looks vibrant and midrange and when the serum is taken out of the box it is a little glass bottle with a squeezable pipet which I love minimises overspill giving you control of measure. There is very little smell to this one which isn’t a bother to me as the moisturiser more than makes up for this over the top.I have to say I am not a fan of the consistency of this on my skin it doesn’t glide on my skin like previous serums that I have used including the Facetheory Porebright so I have started patting it on my skin instead.I have used this every evening before bed for 4 days now and I can already see a visible plumpness which I was surprised to see so fast. I will update my results after 6 weeks as this is when you really notice a change using new skin products.

Great formulation, seems to work well for me.
This Hyaluret Serum from Facetheory comes in an amber-coloured 30ml glass bottle with pipette applicator. The serum is light, has a mild scent and absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving the skin smooth and soft. With the main ingredients such as ester of retinoic, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and Vitamin C, this serum can help to improve collagen production, improves skin elasticity and fight acne.I have been using this serum for almost a month now, and even though I was sceptical at first, it’s amazing that it has worked really well for my combination skin. The fine lines on the forehead and at the corner of the eyes seem less visible now. The overall skin tone appears more even too. For reference, I apply this serum on a clean face after toner, hydrating lotion and before moisturiser, face oil and sunscreen. My skin loves this serum and I have not experienced any adverse reactions to it.If you have not used Retinol ester, or niacinamide before, you might want to use this sparingly and slowly build up the routine.Overall, great formulation that causes no irritation to the skin, reasonably priced and works well. It’s available on Amazon for £25.99 (at the time of writing), which seems reasonable for the quality.

I don't like it (especially compared to the other serums I own)
> The bottle says you can use it daily but I don't recommend it because I ended up getting blackheads, whiteheads, and spots after about 2 days> I’ll wash my face and then apply the serum- I skip the toning and moisturising steps to avoid layering too many products (in case they react badly with each other). However the serum can’t tackle my really dry areas on it’s own so there’s times I will use moisturiser> It doesn’t make my face shiny and it absorbs quickly> It doesn’t smellI don’t like the S13 serum because: it hasn’t calmed any of my blemishes, my skin doesn’t feel or look hydrated, and it causes spots. I can’t tell if it’s anti-aging or reduces fine lines since I’ve only been using it for a few weeks.
