This is the 68gsm
Not all Tomoe River paper is the same. I have bought other notebooks with the 68gsm, and this brand is by far the best, and most similar to the original 52gsm. The 68gsm has the same wonderful smoothness, with the paper being just a little bit thicker. I see it’s out of stock now, and it’s probably not going to be available again. I’m kicking myself that I didn’t buy a lifetime supply. The price was so low. I’m so stupid. Dumb dumb dumb.

What can I say?! Great Japanese notepad, as well as my first one. I would definitely buy one again once I’m finished with this current one. Doesn’t bleed with pens and has a quality paper!

I happened to have several exact notebooks purchased before 2019. Here are the measurement:This version:nominal paper thickness 0.080mmthickness of 368 pages: 14.82mmtotal weight 495.4gtomoe river before 2019:nominal paper thickness 0.072mmthickness of 368 pages: 13.40mmtotal weight 485.5gOverall, older tomoe river paper is thinner and higher density. newer one is thicker and lower density. This is likely the production after 2020.

Order on August 15th, shipped out on August 25th from Japan. Received on Sep 1st in USA. Very fast shipping!! Products is good too. it is a not a thick hard cover, it is a little thin hard cover with a thick plastic book cover. Very good paper.
