Draughts, or Checkers (depending what side of the pond you are on) is a game that has been played since about the 12th century, so quite a long while 😉.This game has been themed for Harry Potter fans, but there is little that is significantly different with the game itself. The box is nice and that is really the main Harry Potter branding.The board is a small fold up one, and the squares are coloured red and gold for Gryffindor, the only other link to Harry Potter is the HP on each of the draughts.The 24 game pieces are fairly thin and light, not at all substantial, and they feel a little cheap. It is quite nice that they interlock for when you reach the other side of the board and double up.In the Box you get the following:1 x Rule sheet1 x Gameboard24 x Red playing pieces24 x Black playing piecesAll in all this is a bright, but fairly basic draughts game which will be popular more for the branding than anything else I expect. Given the cost of manufacturing these days, I don't think the price of £10.99 is too bad.

Obviously the set has nothing to do with Harry Potter just Harry Potter themed.It’s very good quality and well made, the board is a good size and folds so you can put it back in the box.The draughts are made from plastic and have HP on one side. The board and draughts are in Griffindor colours so a Harry Potter fan will love this.It does come with the instructions on how to play which are really clear and easy to understand.Overall happy with the draughts set and using it to teach my granddaughter how to play.

My 11 year old is a massive Harry Potter fan so was very excited to be playing this HP themed board game.This is your standard checkers game with a bit of a Harry Potter colour theme. Where there is not as much Harry Potter characters/themes as I would have expected, the discs do have the Harry Potter logo on it, which is a nice touch.Comes with game instructions incase the young person doesn’t know the rules to play.The box it’s in is a very lovely Harry Potter box, so this would make an ideal gift considering it’s only just over £10.A great gift for any child who wants a board game in their toy cupboard. Would be happy to recommend.

This is a fairly traditional implementation of Draughts, with some cosmetic customisation to theme it within the Harry Potter world. The maroon and gold colours work well, the black and maroon pieces are lightweight plastic, but the castellation pattern around the rim mean they stack together securely. It's useful that the game includes a brief set of instructions to act as a reminder too. Pleasant budget gift.

Look very cheap and are not convenient

This is a good checkers board/set. It is Harry Potter themed… but I’d say loosely-It comes in a nice box that can be used to store it in. The box is twice as this as it needs to be but this isn’t an issue. The board is good quality and folds nice and flat which is good. The checkers come in a readable back to store them away. You get exactly the right amount with no spares so you’ll need to be careful not to loose any-Besides the red and white squares and “HP” on each disc, there’s no resemblance to Harry Potter. The HP is also only on 1 side which is a little annoying when they’re double sided. Also, they’re very small and don’t seem to fill the squares properly like other sets I own. And finally, the notches to stack them are very small so they don’t stack very well and are fiddly-This set is only £11 at the moment and that seems to be the average price for these on Amazon. For that price these are very good

A great way to introduce the kids to an old classic game of draughts. They were interested from the onset owing to the excellent Harry Potter branding of this set. The game itself is played normally without any Harry Potter quirks, it’s simply branded in that style. Still, the kids love it and keep asking to play, so I’m happy they are not watching TV instead. Pretty good value for money.
