This Fan Works Great!
*UPDATE* It's been used off and on for over a year now and is still going strong!I got this 5" fan to go on a DYI oil cooler for my son's off road buggy. The fan really moves some air through! It's not abnoxiously loud but there's no mistake it's running. It's been through a bunch of bumps, mud and pressure washed (carefully) with no problem.There are a million different similar fans here on Amazon, with varying prices. I'm VERY thankful I picked this one.Oh, the diameter of the fan itself is 5 inches. The outer housing is a little bigger.

I can't provide an opinion for the designed use. I purchased this for a project I was working on and it did not provide the air movement I needed but it may work fine for a motorcycle.
