We have always had good luck with Zuru toys, and this is no exception. We bought both the Robotic Lizard and the Snake and they both arrived on time and well packed. Both items were bigger than expected so we were pleasantly surprised. Once out of the box the only thing we needed to do is to insert the batteries. The Lizard takes 2 AA batteries (not included) and the snake takes 2 AAA batteries (not included). Reading some of the reviews we have seen others commenting about the battery installation and the difficult time they had. We didn't experience this. We used a very small flathead screwdriver for the lizard and a very small phillips head for the snake. Both screws came out easily. Once the batteries were in all you have to do is flip the power switch (located underneath) on and your ready to go!We were very surprised on how both the lizard and snake moved. The snake slithers as a real one does, and is incredibly lifelike! The lizard is also very close to the real thing. We were filming a YT video for our channel and we did try these outside. The snake had a little problem on the sidewalk moving freely, however, the sidewalk was also covered with a lot of debris, so we assumed it was because of that. Put it on a smooth surface though and it will go with no problems at all!!Both the snake and the lizard are great buys for the price. We have done videos on toys that were much more expensive and not near the fun as these. My kids have two of these hilarious little guys and chose one to gift to a friend for Christmas (he loves it). They're amazing! Very well made and a nice combination of hard plastic and soft rubber. The rear legs' rotation mimics the movement of a real lizard and they go pretty fast. My younger kids love chasing them around and sometimes the dog and cats even join in. A very thoughtful feature is that as soon as the tail is lifted, the legs stop rotating. I'm not sure how many times this has saved my 5yo from being slapped in the face, but I'm grateful! Thanks for making a very cool toy at a great price!

My grandson is still having a blast with it. Works great on concrete and hard floors, not so great for dirt or carpet, or grass. But the kids love it.

My nephew really liked! I had bought the spider model first do not waste your money on that one! It stopped working same day! But the lizard is much better! Moves like a real lizard and better maid

These lizards are tons of fun. The kids love them. Bought orange & green. The redirect when they bump into things. Head lights up as the waddle. The back legs do the work.Great toy.

Would have been more star because he is super cute but it was very disappointing when the box says there is an instruction book inside the box and there is not…. The screws where the batteries go where in so tight we striped one trying to open the compartment.

This toy is so fun. My grandson loves lizards and when I saw this I knew it would be perfect. It has the funniest walk and skitters across the floor. It has a durable skin and is easy for him to pretend to catch.
