Super cute and works GREAT!
Plugged into 12v outlet in vehicle it took exactly 1/2 hour for perfectly cooked rice. Instruction booklet typical Chinese to English weird translation, but basically use included measuring cup (instructions call it a cup but they only mean the cup itself, not literally a cup) of rinsed rice to water 1/1.5 and press big center button to light up red to cook (green light keeps it warm; buttons are in Chinese, not English); my first batch I used 2 measuring cups of rinsed rice to 3 measuring cups of water, which left enough room on top to heat meat or vegs in included shallow warming tray. (Unit stays cool enough on outside but I put it on top of heat-proof pad in my vehicle just in case. Be sure to use included plastic spoon instead of metal inside cook pot. Easy to clean. All-in-all I am very impressed with this tiny little unit and highly recommend for cooking rice on the road!

pretty awesome little car making rice maker.
This thing makes good rice. Used with a jackery 300 explorer and my car to make rice. Alot of rice over many days. It makes good rice. It plugs into the car accessory port or my jackery's one. Its odd to clean out as you can't just dunk it in water, but that is a minor beef.Next time need to bring fresh Vegi's to steam with the included tiny, stacked tray thing. this paired very well with a mini crock pot. With the Jackery 300 could make like a can of chilli over rice. Or those indian packet things over rice. You get the idea. Could also do in my jeep. As it has one car port and 1 115 volt plug. But the jackery 300 is ideal as its all in one place and could run this little awesome rice cooker and 2 mini crock pots and feed like 4 people in 30 -40 minutes with hot food on the road or out doing outdoor stuff.

Just what I needed
This is a small rice cooker that makes 2-4 servings of rice. It works well, if a bit slower than the manufacturer states. There is no insert, so you need to be careful when washing it, but it wasn't difficult to clean and, if not left to sit until crusty, practically wipes clean with a soapy cloth. I don't recommend using it while driving unless you have some way to prevent the pot from accidentally tipping over in case of sudden moves.

FIRE HAZARD
DO NOT BUY THIS RICE COOKER!I originally gave this cooker a 5 star review. After it literally fried my wires, I cannot recommend it.For about a month, it worked fine. I did notice a kind of plastic smell, but I thought that was the plug wire just being used. Then one day, it wasn't getting any power. My 12v outlet stopped working. I checked the fuse, and it was still intact. I then plugged it into my other 12v outlet, thinking the first one was just bad. A few uses later in that other outlet, it also stopped working. The fuse for that line was also still intact. Both fuses were big enough to handle the cooker if going by the 12 volts it says it's designed for.I ordered new 12v outlets to replace the ones. Once I got the outlets out of the wall, I saw the positive wire completed FRIED IN HALF at the in-line fuse. See photo of fried wire. I'm thankful nothing caught on fire inside my walls!DO NOT BUY THIS RICE COOKER! DO NOT! DO NOT! DO NOT!!!!

My van life is now complete.
I can't believe I went three years in my van without this. You might freak out about the power consumption but remember that you're only using it for an hour or less, not all day, if you're just cooking and not warming. I make the full four cups and that's enough for a meal for two that day, and I save the other half in the fridge for a meal for two another day.The only negative is that the steamer tray gets veggies hot but still very crispy. I like them this way but my husband does not. Also, if you're doing four cups, there isn't room for the tray anyway. Doesn't bother me but good info to have. The bowl does not separate from the housing and the whole thing can't be submerged. I thought this would make it hard to clean but it doesn't. I just leave the lid off so it can dry and then the starchy flakes fall right out into the trash with a quick swipe of a towel. Love it!

Good for road trip, but not for home
I use this for road trip and very easy to use. You just press cook button and red light turns on, and if cooking is done then it turns to green light. Product is in Chinese but it comes with English manual so no problem,But it can’t be used at home because adapter is only for car cigarette jack. Wish it had both adapters, one for car and one for home., that would have been more convenient and excellent.

Love it!
I got this to take on a camping trip. I have an extra 12v battery and solar panel mounted on my truck, so thought this would be an easy way to make rice without having to break out the camp stove. I really love it! It so easy to throw in the rice and just let it go. When it's done, unplug it, scoop out the rice with the included spoon, then pour a bit of clean water in it. Let it sit soak while eating, then wipe it out with a rag or paper towel. Elbow macaroni worked great too. Overall I'm really impressed. I even use it at home (with a separate 12v adapter) from time to time. It's a great size for single servings. I haven't tried the little metal dish on top, so no comment on how that works.
