Janome5270QDC Sewing Machine

I tried to compare to the other models available, many of the others in the £500 price range (so lower than this one) have the auto cutter. They don’t have quite the same amount of stitches and really I know the extra stitches are just an indulgence for me as is the ability to do some basic lettering. This one also has the knee lifter and extension table plus hard cover.If the extra cost is not an issue I’d pick this one, otherwise in the £500 range any machine from Janome is good for dressmaking etc.I got this one for a steal hence deciding on this one, the auto cutter has been the envy causing functionality for me which as I said is available on some of Janomes lower priced machines now. The stitch selection seems more complicated to the basic machines but I will work that out quickly enough.Working out how to use the needle threader was not the same as my last Janome, but found a YouTube video and the dvd also has something so managed that.Happy.

I had been looking at this machine having looked at quite a lot to get the right one. The big decider was the discount that was applied and a great price.No regrets either, I had a Jerome machine for 10 years and liked it but wanted to upgrade. It was easy to get the hang of it and like all the different stitches. Being able to program letters and numbers is brilliant.Arrived as advised and safely and carefully delivered.Definitely recommend this machine and the seller…… 5 stars

Yes I was happy but then the needle threader stopped working and so has the button holder not working

Copes easily with a huge range of fabric thicknesses from thick fur fabric (which my previous machines could not attempt) to super thin organza. Impressive range of stitches and different feet for all occasions. Brilliant!

I bought it to make purses and bags. Very pleased
