Pacific Coast Skinny Joes Slim Glasses

These are pretty cool looking and light weight shades. Some reviews state these look like kid glasses and feel cheap. In some respects that is true but purchasers should be mindful these are "skinny" in design which translates to lenses high and wide enough to cover the eyes, not bury the face; and while the low height of the lenses provide a "kid glasses" look out of the box, the arms of the glasses are comfortably adult length. The skinny design also translates to a light weight minimalist construct that some may construe as a "cheap" feel to the glasses. While the glasses are constructed of very light weight polycarbonate material, the build is solidly light lending to no fatigue on a face even with prolonged wear. As for durability, product details state these exceed ANSI Z80.3 impact resistance standards which means they should survive simply being dropped. Given that these are polycarbonate lenses, in technical respects they are lighter and thinner than glass or plastic lenses - lending to that "cheap" feel - but they are also the most impact-resistant lenses (about 10 times as resistant as glass) available in eye wear. Translation: not only will your eyes have a minimalist look, wrap-around protection, you will also look bad-ass wearing them.

I got these because they looked like fun to wear. Joe Cool, you know? Well, they are. They only cover the eyes, not the rest of your face, so there will be sun coming at you from above and below them. They wrap around the sides and if you can get them close enough, maybe there won't be a sun issue. I wear corrective lenses so I can't wear these over my glasses because they fit too close to the face. But when I'm not driving, that's not a problem. Passengers don't always need to see clearly. It's nice to not have to squint or close my eyes though. They're as dark as any other dark gray sunglasses. Not super dark though, and not polarized. Nice and light on the nose and easy to wear.

The glasses, stylistically, were fine. Yet, the vision was kind of blurry. I thought it was me, but I washed/cleaned them and still far vision they were blurry. Anyway, I wore them probably a total of 6 times before they split in two at the frame. Adios cheap glasses!

Are these cheap, flimsy and small...yes, all that's true. However, ladies, if you have a petite face and don't want your make-up wrecked as soon as you put your sunglasses on, these are for you! I no longer arrive at work with indentations on my nose or cheeks and my foundation smudged. These sit lightly on my nose with very little pressure. I love them, though they do break easily. It's best to buy two or three pairs at a time...

These sunglasses are my favorite glasses to own. But because of the material they use to construct these shades be prepared 3 months down the road to buy another pair if not sooner. I have bought at least 9 pair of these shades over the last two years. They are cheap enough to where I don't worry bout that though. If you like snug to your face glasses that are also cosmetically pleasing these shades are a must have.

The fit perfectly and look amazing!

These "Pacific Coast Skinny Joes Slim Glasses" are very slim and small. May not look good unless you have a smaller head. Large, bulky glasses do not look good on my head, so I wear smaller lense glasses. However these were too small and I looked like Morpheus from The Matrix (larger head, tiny sunglasses). So I ended up sending these back. I'd love to see this same design in a slightly larger lens size such as 55 mm wide x 32 mm high. The are a good looking style overall, but did not work for my head.

These are the coolest sunglasses around--No doubt! I love em, my friends love em. Everyone who tries them looks good in em. I ordered 5 pair because I go thru glasses like crazy and I never want to 'run out' of this style of glasses. Some friends and I used to wear a similar style in the early 90's and then you couldn't find them. I searched the internet for years and finally found these Slender Fit Dark Smoked Skinny Joes by KD and I was stoked!
