I've made coffee with this machine for a week and no matter what little adjustment I attempt it still does not produce a satisfactory product. The main problem seems to be the space that is between the coffee and the filter of the upper chamber--they do not sit directly next to each other like in a moka pot. There is a little "lid" with holes that's to fit on top of the coffee while it's in the funnel filter, but it just sits there allowing the pressure of the water coming up the funnel to lift it, making coffee grounds end up on top of it as well as under it. Coffee grounds also then spill back into the lower water chamber at times (burnt coffee smell) and grounds to be espressed up into my actual coffee (did they come from the funnel or all the way from the bottom chamber? All this makes a not good tasting cup of coffee. he other main problem, but one could forgive it if the coffee came out tasty, is that the depth of the pour spout is too shallow for the wide square container causing coffee to spill all over unless you pour at a tediously slow pace. I just pout it out of the corner of the "pitcher". I so-o-o-o-o wanted this coffee pot to work for me but I'd rather drink instant espresso than the coffee this pot makes.

Works ok, but design is flawed, a square pot is a mess to pour. So you have to hold the lid down to keep it from going all over the place.

This was a fair pot to start with. It has the typical rivet in the basket lid that falls out within a week. The lid itself is to small and does not fit the basket. All of that aside it worked great until about a week ago it doesn't complete the cycle! It just stops and then about 20 minutes later starts again to finish. It is too late to return it but I won't by this brand again either.
