Recommend if like coconut. Lovely flavour but is brown instead of gold in picture. Good value
Loved this sweet tobacco, brought back childhood memories. Great flavour and once you have sucked it you get into the coconut to chew. Definitely good value for money as you get good amount. Comes securely in a sealed plastic bag. Picture shows gold colour but mine is brown. Recommend it if you like coconut.

Perfect
Bought this for my dad for father's day. This was a sweet treat from his childhood and he absolutely loved it. Great value for money. I have to admit I didn't try it so I've no idea about the taste, but he ate it all so it must have been nice lol

This is NOT Sweet Tobacco OR Spanish Gold!
Looking at the photo on my laptop and my ipad, this appears to be the delicious coconut sweet that we had as children. However, what arrived through my letterbox was a squashed padded envelope containing an equally squashed, thin plastic bag of some dark brown, unevenly chopped & unappetising looking coconut, obviously covered in some sort of powder. We decided to try it and were quite surprised to find that it not only looked nothing like sweet tobacco but also tasted nothing like it either. Sweet tobacco as we remember it was crispy strands of coconut covered in light brown sugar and baked or toasted somehow. This is soft and chewy and covered in a mixture of what appears to be caster sugar and drinking chocolate powder. In fact, about ¼ of the contents of the bag is this mixture of chocolate powder and sugar. Absolutely disgusting and will end up in the bin! What a waste of money.

Yummy sweet tobacco
I did enjoy these sweets. They were the best sweet tobacco I've tasted. However, the covering did come loose easily and I was left with half a bag of sugary coa coa at the end - mind you I've saved this and plan to make hot chocolate with it. A bit pricey for what it is though I did thoroughly enjoy it.

great taste, shame about the texture
this trip down memory lane hit a few potholes! Hadn't seen spanish gold for years so was pleased to find it on amazon. Tastes the same as I remember but childhood spanish gold was thin and crispy, this is quite moist and flacid.

Yum
At first I though it was too moist and chewy, same flavour as I remember as a child.I thought about this, and realised that the shop I bought it from as a child, used to leave a tray of the stuff lying under the counter, un-covered - it needed to dry out a bit! So I let it dry out in the cupboard for a few days.Went back to try it, and it was exactly the same texture as I remember. Perfect.
