Infinite Warfare is just about average, MW remastered much better
Infinite Warfare:First off I think this is a really terrible title for the game. What does it even mean? It's idiotic. There has to have been something better they could have come up with?--Campaign-- (SPOILERS)Not that great, actually. It's very short, which they all are as multiplayer and zombies have since Modern Warfare been the main feature, but this one feels especially short given that a fair chunk of it is spent on somewhat meaningless feeling side missions. The characters themselves are ok, and there is a somewhat sad ending but to be honest you don't spend anywhere near enough time with them to get to know and like them. Also some of them just seem to appear out of nowhere, e.g. I have no idea when and how Kashima came into play, but he was cool.Jon Snow aka Kit Harington aka Salen Kotch is by far the worst, most pathetic villain in this game series so far and his death genuinely ruins the campagin. His death is just so unrealistic, and so easy. He spends most of the campaign giving it large through little videos to then die like a little weakling. Absolutely terrible stuff. Same goes for the little sidekick that Connor McGregor plays. Why bother getting fairly popular actors/celebrities in, which I'm assuming meant paying them quite a lot of extra money, just for them to turn out to be completely irrelevant?I hate the idea they have since the last 2 games that instead of missions flowing from one to next like in the first Modern Warfares you have to go to a pointless 'prep area' first, this time a spaceship that apparently inside is the size of a small 2 bedroom flat. It includes several idiotic, pointless animations (launching the ship being a prime example, it was infuriating). The story is nothing particularly special either. I'm somewhat baffled by some official reviewers suggesting this is the best campaign since Modern Warfare - not quite sure what they were smoking, but I can with 100% certainty confirm this to be false.90% of the campaign is space based and half of it is flying around in a spaceship trying to shoot down others. Really did not enjoy that part.3/10 for the campaign--Multiplayer--No improvement on Black Ops 3, that's for certain. In fact, I would say it's only better than Ghosts and Advanced Warfare, and in my opinion those 2 had the worst multiplayers in the series' history (Ghosts in particular was just a disgrace).Whilst I do enjoy innovations in games and appreciate the game creators trying new things, I think the jumping around/boosting/wallrunning/sliding using exosuits or whatever they are called is ridiculous and somewhat ruins the gameplay. I don't know how people can manage to jump into the air, going backwards, and at the same time get really good aim with an SMG - and in this game the recoil on SMGs is insane - and shoot me. Fair play for the skill, but I genuinely hate it.Maps are mostly small, but a lot of them, no matter how careful you try to be, will leave you exposed from at least 2-3 sides no matter where you go. They look cool but don't really stand out as spectacular. I do hate maps that are too big that some of the previous versions had so that's a plus.As for guns, it's mostly about assault rifles and SMGs again. Very rarely do I see sniper rifles because of the map sizes. The assault rifles are OK, the SMGs have insane recoil, though this rightly makes them useful mostly in close-quarters battles unless you are very skilled. One new thing introduced in this game are energy weapons as well as ballistic weapons. It's just a different look/sound but a nice addition. You once again have 'classes', or rigs as they call them here, each has a unique 'trait' and 'special ability', which are actually a pretty good feature in my opinion. The quartermaster is still about, so you can collect keys to get new stuff. It does have a microtransaction-ish feel to it though which I seriously hate in AAA games. The pick 10 system is still in place too. You also can earn extra exp by doing little 'missions' (e.g. get 1000 score, get a triple kill etc.) for 'mission teams', of which there are 4 different ones. I find this a good addition really, as I hated how slow prestiging was in previous editions. It doesn't give HUGE amounts of experience points, but adds a nice bonus in most games.I will certainly not be paying for any DLCs with maps as I disagree with the idea of those wholeheartedly, plus £64 for this Legacy Edition is a disgusting rip off anyway.Overall 6/10 for the multiplayer. I'm close to prestige 1 and I do enjoy the occasional several games when I have a spare hour or two, so it's not unplayable.--Zombies--Haven't played yet, never been a fan of this mode in previous versions, but will try out and add to this review.Modern Warfare Remastered:Most people would have played it already I guess, if you haven't, let me tell you it does not look like a game that was released almost 10 years ago at all. Of course it is a remastered version but the gameplay/campaign are all the same (unless there are small additions I didn't notice). The graphics do not look out of date at all. The multiplayer on this is still amazing, I definitely enjoy it A LOT more than Infinite Warfare's. The easiest way to compare them is that the MW multiplayer compared to Infinite & Advanced Warfare as well as Black Ops 3 is a lot more simplified, there is no pointless jumping around, no tons of weapons/loadouts, one word - simplicity. It does the job.The campaign is, as previously, fantastic - in my opinion the best in the series. It would be a 10/10 for MW remastered if not for the fact that several maps for some reason are not available at the moment. Bloc was actually my favourite from when I first played MW, and the others (Strike, Showdown, Wet Work, Pipeline and Countdown) were also very good. These are apparently being added for free in December, which is cool, but after paying £64 and getting a 'remastered' version I am baffled as to why DLC maps (Chinatown and Broadcast, 2 very very good maps) are not included? It's just disappointing that a remastered version would not include ALL previous maps (so add to that the likes of Killhouse and Creek) and it once again makes me think that the creators of the Call of Duty series either became braindead after Black Ops 2 and decided to no longer care in the slightest about what fans of the series would like, or the series has been since then made by completely different people (I'm not that interested to research if this is the case). Either way, the paying customers here are being treated like mugs. For that reason alone this version gets 8/10 from me.

Infinite and Modern Warfare a solid 8/10
Start off with the zombies:- Seems to have taken a massive step away from the zombies which we do know, however not necessarily a bad thing, I found the game to run very smooth, and looking decent, with characters more realistic, your typical "nerd" or "jock" situation, the use of music in the background makes it more fun and enjoyable and not the same run around the map intill im bored thing from other zombies.Colour scheme, looks very nice, good use of many colours, makes it brighten up the map and create a fun but relatively worrying map, with small corners and stairs etc to get trapped. The implementation of clowns instead of dogs, which in a way is fun and good but it makes me, and others think that they are taking the mick and that the game is a clown instead of them just being dogs.Overall zombies 8/10Next is the "Infinite warfare Multiplayer"pro's:- fast, fluid gameplay.- sharp, impressive visuals, with the ability to alter film grain, and motion blur which is nice.- The amount of customisationgranted can be a con as it leads to dozens of micro transactions, see cons for that, however you can customise nearly every detail, of your character and weapons, not just your standard "colour schemes" being shifted, you can alter the weapon, in the ways, of adding dog tags, a little skull, etc, small touches, but make your gun feel and look different to everyone else's,Maps - look good, work well, plenty of spots to avoid, sneak and get the edge on opponents, with the use of the wall running and double jumps,Hit detection - seems good this year, I've only had a few issues, but most of the time my bullets, hit them, which makes the game feel really nice, when your playing well see a couple enemies and you know you can aim, hit a few bullets sparing ammo and then kill the other, whereas in other cod games, sometimes your bullets would go through them leaving, you that distinctive annoying reload noise and a face of annoyance as you get riddled with bullets, hopelessly standing there.Con's:- another futuristic game, for the third year, which causes annoyance to veteran fans like myself, who want boots on the ground.- killstreaks are dull, copy and paste from other games or killstreaks that serve no use,- suited for a competitive player, they have took all the fun out of this game, older games such as black ops and mw3 had party games or infected? Which were fun, this game has gun game only that brings enjoyment,- futuristic weapons, I roughly think around half of the guns are energy or arolve around futuristic elements, I don't want to shoot Star Wars blasters, if I did I'd load up Star Wars battlefront...Overal rating - 8/10Not played the campaign as each year it lets me down, to the point were I avoid them just like I did for black ops 3So overal for my review I'm giving the game a 8/10! The game seems to take 2 steps forward but one back, an improvement from black ops 3, but still not the best of games, mainly due to the name and the fan base, (me included) annoyed with exo's and the futuristic elements,Call of duty modern warfare remastered:my favourite cod game, let's get started, trying to not be biased..Heads up not played the remastered campaign, but I'll assume it's as good as the original, or better with the improved graphics.Moving onto the multiplayer!Pro's:- boots on the ground, brilliant to see it return, makes cod feel fresh and needing more skill as you can't just fly away now (boost jump).- gold camo available on all weapons (jumps for joy)! Finally, and the inclusion of red tiger and blue tiger.- improved graphics, I know this sounds stupid but it's also a con, hear me out, see later before I get hated,Con's:Graphics - I know they have been improved but, the graphics, look and feel like ghosts brightness and colours, which was also made by infinity ward, these graphics make (me and others who I asked because I thought I was going blind) not be able to see campers or anyone in buildings, they without sounding racist as I am not, they look like men with brown coats on that blend in with the background of having dust and the bright yellow bricks everywhere, makes them super hard to see, and I have good eyesight. In addition, what makes this more insane is the original game, in 2007 you could see enemies hiding in corners, you could see them on roofs or in rooms! I'd rather have the old graphics then the new.Sounds - , really disappointing as I expected the game to sound the same? As it's just a remaster, but 80% of the guns sound completely different, maybe I'm just being miserable, but that made the game great, the sounds were amazing in the original.Medals - this implementation should have never came to modern warfare remastered, medals were designed and solely designed for children, who get excited because they get a "one shot kill or a double kill".Changes to score - also aimed at children, originally would get 10 points for a kill, 5 points for an assist, 50 points for a kill in search and destroy if I'm correct, either way, it has been changed to 100 for a kill and 50 for an assist, which was aimed at children to make them happy when they kills, otherwise if they got 5 points, they'd fee like they aren't doing anything and it isn't worth their time.Overall rating 8/10, dissapointing changes to the game, based on and aimed at kids now, when the age requirement states "18"
