Performed better than expected.
This performed better than I was expecting after reading some of the reviews. Easy to assemble and it is very easy to change from blower to vac. Functions very well when in blower mode. Was able to blow all of the wet leaves off the stones into a heap without any fuss. Did not try to vacuum the leaves off the stones as knowing my luck it would have broken. If you did want to do this I am sure that this could be done successfully if your careful. The vacuum also worked very well and sucked up all of the leaves without any fuss. I was expecting it to get clogged up as the leaves were wet, but it didn't. I was very surprised at the amount of leaves that the bag holds. The bag is very easy to empty and it just clicks into position. The only issues were the strap on the bag not being long enough. I am only 5ft and although it was long enough for me it wasn't for my husband as he 5ft 7ins. It was far too short for him so he couldn't use it. He had to leave the bag dangling on the ground but there was no problem with the leaves being picked up this way. Although I have seen online, if you do have a large amount of leaves to vacuum up, you can purchase a collapsible bin and a plastic pipe which fits over it and onto where the bag fits, so this would solve the problem. It does tend to start weighing heavy after you have been using it for a while. For me it would have been helpful for there to have been a second supporting handle to help distribute the weight a little. As for the noise, yes, it is a little on the noisy side, although I did not use earplugs. Overall this is a very good product and does exactly what is expected of it. Would I buy this again, yes. I did look at others and what decided it for me was that it was a Which best buy. I am pleased I chose this one. A very happy customer.

This seems to be the machine I have been looking for
It will be worth 5 stars as long as it doesn’t go wrong! There are very few powerful corded garden vacs on the market. I tried the Black & Decker and sent it back because it didn’t work. This is much better designed and made (and cheaper!).Ignore the early reviews about poor suction - that seems to have been because Amazon had a batch of faulty bags. This one sucks so well you have to be careful where you point it! And switching to blower mode is instantaneous, even when it’s running. If you have a large garden with lots of trees, this machine is for you.Main concern after a very effective day’s use is the safety catch. Very occasionally the vacuum tube may block. It’s easy to remove it and clear it. But you have to push it back on tight and screw up a locking knob before you can move the on-off switch. A very sensible precaution, but you really do have to fit things together tightly before the switch will work. I just wonder whether there are problems in store here.Oh and weight: there’s a shoulder strap to hold the bag, and by extension the machine. You do need to get the bag in exactly the right place, otherwise you will quickly tire from bending over. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get it right the whole thing is very well balanced and a perfect length for me (I’m 5’ 8”; there’s a bit of adjustment left to lengthen the strap further). All in all - so far so good, and hoping it will continue to work well.

Surprisingly it works well
I've had a few garden vacs over the years and most of them disappoint. Incredibly this one doesn't! It's not too difficult to assemble although the instructions are rather sparse when it comes to words. If you are stuck there is a helpful video on YouTube.I like the way the bag fits, quick to release and reattach. Also, the bag has a decent opening accessed via a zip that makes it quick and easy to empty,In use it is very loud and you must wear ear defenders or you will run the risk of hearing problems later on in life. All these vacs are a bit cumbersome to lug about but this one is better than most I've had. It has tremendous suction and picks up quite large twigs, acorns and sycamore seeds. It made short work of piles of dry leaves and did an exceptional job of mulching them up nice and small.Switching from suck to blow is quick and easy. Remove the bag and it's pretty manoeuvrable but you may need to cut down the amount of air being blasted out (very easy to do) otherwise leaves and debris will get blown all over the place. It comes with a good length of mains cable but you still may need to use an extension lead if you are not near a power point. If you do use an extension make sure it of a suficient rating as this thing is rated at 3000 watts which is a lot. Make sure any extension lead is fully uncoiled before use otherwise it may well melt.Bottom line? Very pleased, so much better than what I had before.

A Great Blower But A Poor Sucker
Having watched the video featuring this product I expected a lot more. Yes, the blower is great, sends leaves and debris flying away from you quite nicely, but sadly once you've blown all your leaves and stuff into a nice corner pile to suck up, or there's leaves lining your hedges you want to clean up, well you'll find yourself struggling.I expected it to pick up from a distance of at least an inch or so, like the video shows, but nope. You literally have to use it like a hoover and hold the nozzle over whatever you want to suck up, and even then you have to stand there for a few minutes as it slowly and tediously picks up a few leafs at a time.I thought I was using it wrong or it was blocked so opened it up, but nope, all fine there, it really just sucks at sucking. The instructions for assembly and use were like Egyptian hieroglyphics almost. For the money, it's not worth it in my opinion. Could have got a blower for half the price that did the same thing, because blowing is about all this is good for unless you want to stand around counting the minutes for it slowly to suck anything up. I'll be looking out the box it came in and sending it back ASAP if it turns out the vac feature can't be improved.
