From the K teacher's perspective.
If your wondering which paper to buy let me give a hint here. I am a K teacher and bought this my second time around. I have found that it works much better for my advanced K students. the 1 1/8 is just to big, this offers line managment and easier transition to regular notebook paper plus 500 for this price when was the last time you bought a K tablet at walmart you get 20 sheets for 3.00 so you may as well do just like I did order it here for 6.00 a pack and put enough in your cart to qualify for free shipping and be done for the rest of the year. I had to buy 12 but only because as soon as the other teachers saw how easy it made my class they all wanted to buy a package so I had to restock. Let me also say if your a K teacher you know how they are about their paper when they tear it out one little rip the whole world just came to an end. ENOUGH said this teacher HIGHLY suggest this paper for K-2 ...I even use it with some 4th graders that I tutor because somewhere in the vastness of education they decided we can't teach handwriting past second grade and most of these kids writing is so bad that I can't read it. Some of the older grades I think even need the 1 1/8 because they .....again....enough said buy the paper it will save you many headaches down the road. I walk around the classroom with a ruler and lay it on the lines and take an eraser and anything above it or below it gets earased and they know that means a redo....get a big eraser while your here on amazon. IT WORKS though my babies have really gotten great handwriting from this method. Just because they are K does not mean they can't learn big...expect it and they will give it.

Perfect paper for practice
My daughter wanted to learn cursive writing. She uses this paper in tandem with her practice handbook. It's the same paper we used in kindergarten for printing. It's too thin to erase on but why erase when it's used for practice.

Poorly packaged
This is the actual state of the shipping packaging. It came wrapped in thin plastic like you would find it on the shelf in a store with a shipping label slapped on. As you can see I my picture, the rubber band did all the work.Pretty sure the usps was gentle with it as very few pages were abused.Paper is exactly as expected. Nice smooth newsprint. It isn’t fuzzy at all and will work perfectly for my littles to practice their writing.

The long and short of Pacon Handwriting Paper
When I made my purchase there were four different models of this paper available. Each package comes with 500 sheets of standard paper. The paper is nicely white (not brown or dingy-looking), lined on both sides, and seems about as thin as standard, cheaper notebook paper would be. It is not three-hole punched though so that would have to be done manually if you want to use it in a binder system. Due to the great price at the time of my order I purchased one each of three of the four options, but found it inconvenient to have to sort through the various options to decide which ones to get so I figured I would list the basics here to hopefully make it easier for others.Model 2418: Recommended for Kindergarten 1 1/8" ruling (dotted in the middle at 9/16") Red baseline; blue dotted mid-line; blue headline Paper is wider than it is long (10½" x 8")Model 2420: Recommended for Kindergarten & Grade 1 5/8" ruling (dotted in the middle at 5/16") Red baseline; blue dotted mid-line; blue headline Paper is wider than it is long (10½" x 8")Model 2421: Recommended Grades 1 & 2 ½" ruling (dotted in the middle at ¼") Red baseline; blue dotted mid-line; blue headline Paper is wider than it is long (10½" x 8")Model 2422: Recommended Grades 2 & 3 ½" ruling (dotted in the middle at ¼") Red baseline; blue dotted mid-line; blue headline Short Rule (paper is longer than it is wide so 8" x 10½")

Great value, wide rule, perfect for beginners
Sufficient wide-ruled handwriting paper for my beginner 4 year old. I’m just going to clip a few of these at a time in a clipboard for his writing practice. The paper is thin, almost like newsprint but a little thicker, and it’s not super gray colored, more cream colored. Sort of a mix between newsprint and copy paper. The lines are printed on both sides of the paper, and there is a little uneven bleed-through of those lines, but not so much that it’ll be a major issue.

The paper is fine...
The issue was the way it was shipped. The plastic wrapping wasn’t even around it and was just put into a mailing bag. I’m assuming all 500 were there. Writing paper is exactly what I wanted.

Loose sheets
I thought I was purchasing a notebook but they are loose sheets. I was disappointed in the packaging because all the sheets were loose in the box so some of them were torn and wrinkled.
