EpsonWorkForce DS-760 Hi Speed, Sheet-Fed Color Document Scanner, 80 page Auto Document Feeder (ADF) & Duplex (B11B222202)

We have been talking about getting rid of the closets and file cabinets full or our pictures and documents ever since we downsized 7 years ago. We purchased this in the late fall, and I have scanned in almost 20,000 photos and documents. The speed and quality of the scans, both single and duplex, from this scanner is amazing. The only jams that I have had came from staples that I missed and oversized papers that were folded in half that I also failed to notice. The Pro software that is included is a little cumbersome, but I got the hang of it and use it at will. We no longer have any files (except one that has original docs I need like deeds, birth certificates, etc.). We have cleaned out 2 closets, 4 filing cabinets, and 11 large plastic boxes from our home. I couldn't have done it without this scanner. I now scan new materials as they arrive and the originals are instantly shredded. I couldn't be happier with this scanner.

This scanner is fast. I have quite a few papers that I have to run through and the old flat bed was just painful having to scan anything more than 10 pages. This has been working great for me in scanning genealogy documents, older manuals, etc. It isn't all perfect as it can have some problems feeding glossy sheets (it slips so the resulting scan is elongated) and the OCR software doesn't interface well (the software throws an error when it tries to make a scan but if you feed it a TIFF from a scan it works great).

I ordered this and there is no mention anywhere that it doesn't work with Mac. Now I have to return, likely at my cost. It is so strange to me that anyone would make a product that isn't compatible with Mac, considering they are widely used. I called their support line and after fifteen minutes the rep told me this model flat out isn't compatible with Mac. There isn't even a driver for it online elsewhere. UGH!

The scanner is fast, has many configuration options, but it is not as good as an old Fujitsu. 1. Double feed detection may or may not work when set to Standard (Seems more accurate on Thin). If double feed occurs and detected there is no option to fix the problem and continue scanning. This is OK for small batches, but it is not acceptable when scanning several hundred pages. Strangely, if a jam or doublefeed is detected, the software still continues processing pages until the last one, and then display the error, which could be a long time. 2. Often feeds several pages at once. 3. Autorotate does not always work. 4. There is certainly lag a long lag (~3.5sec as mentioned in other review) when using the Capture utility (Fujitsu has no lag).Unfortunately at the moment, Amazon does not sell Fujitsu fi-7160 (available only through 3rd parties).

This scanner is really great! It is fast and so efficient, it makes life so much easier to scan a few hundred pages of documents in a matter of a few minutes. As with any other scanner, it sometimes gets jammed and pulls through two or more pages at once when they stick together but you will find that with any scanner you buy. This is definitely a high functioning scanner and great if you have a lot of paperwork to scan in. The program is also very easy to use. Definitely worth the price, I would highly recommend this scanner.

I have had this scanner for 2.5 months and already the separation roller has broken. I have not scanned anywhere near 200,000 pages through this machine. Not very happy as I am now 2 days behind at work.

The software is easy to set up and it quickly scans front and back at the same time.Good product.

This scanner is super fast. I had a Epson GT-S50 before and I used it for about four years before I started having problems with it. I ordered this one and the speed is unbelievably fast. The scanned documents are a little lighter than what my old scanned produced but they are very clear. So far, so good.

Very good scanner , fast and durable

this is no longer functioning. Getting EPSON to send me a re-furbished one - that will replace this.Piece of Not reliable Scanner - be gentle to it, it is not as robust as you would expect.
