Yes from the photos and the reviews you read about those mills, they sounded fantastic, and a sure winner. But I was a bit disappointed when i got them, as finish is not that great, specially around the top where the metal screw touches the painted wooden housing, and thus the paint is slightly peeling exposing the wood underneath. For that price, I would have expected some sort of a metal ring to protect the upper rotating housing. Also the paint job on the top rotating part is not top notch on the white salt mill, showing some tiny minuscule air bubbles, trapped under the paint. The mills themselves work fine, although a bit of extra tightening is required now and then, for them to function correctly, specially on the salt mill. Mechanisms look on the cheap side, but they work very good, so I will take Peugeot's word for it.Honestly I would not like to recommend those units to anyone at that steep price. Surely there is better out there at such a premium.

Beautiful design and sheer quality. The metal grinding mechanisms are far superior to others. Expensive but worth the price. Recommended

Beautiful design. Pepper mill very good. The salt mill however is a different situation. The adjusting screw would come loose with every turn and the coarseness is not consistent. The painted wood looks beautiful but can get easily damaged. Overall overpriced. I had to return and buy a Cole and Mason one. Amazing quality ,beautiful design and cheaper

These are great grinders. The grinder mechanism is stainless steel which is so much better than cheaper plastic ones. The people grinder came with some pepper in it so it already had a nice seasoning of the wood occurring. I always buy Peugeot grinders. They are great.

Lovely quality salt and pepper mills.These are wooden as advertised. I have purchased some previously that were advertised as wood but were in fact plastic.

Really good salt & pepper set which you can adjust to suit how fine or coarse you like your salt and pepper! Really pleased!

These are okay but there is a problem with the outer coating (the black and white plastic paint). The colours are quite easy to damage if you bang them together by accident. My son also dropped one on the kitchen floor and took a huge chunk of paint off the side and it makes them look really scrappy and cheap.For this reason I would NOT recommend them even if the grinding mechanism is fine.
