For machine washable clothes you wash in the washing machine after using this.There is also a helpful brand website where you can enter the stain and the type of material and it will state the type of stain remover.The main disappointment is the bottles are very small. As a last resort i googled and found this and because it was so cheap as such a small bottle i thought Ive nothing to lose so will try it. I put it on the garment but then left it for a day before washing as id only got 4 items for a mixed load. Followed instructions (very, very simple) then washed clothing in washing machine and the oil mark disappeared. I thought it may not work as I had to wait a day or two for it to be delivered.
