It’s a BlackWing product. You know what you’re here for.
Look, let’s keep it a buck fiddy. When it comes to pencils, the diminishing returns begin immediately. There is no deference here. This sharpener does exactly what your 40 dollar hand crank sharpener is going to do. What justifies the price tag? Tolerances. It’s machined elegantly with soft curvatures and everything fits together snugly. It looks nice on your desk and doesn’t damage the lacquer on your pencils. Some people are under the false pretense that you need to hold your pencil in the hole while using the crank. This is incorrect. You place the pencil firmly into the hole and the mechanism self feeds as you crank. It’s priced for expectations, which you better have. This is a hype based product similar to what they did with the KUM long point sharpener. They made the exterior pretty and upped the quality marginally enough for you to talk yourself into buying it. Knowing all of this, I bought it. It’s self hype. I’m not bringing a chick in my room expecting her to look at it and think “damn I’m with big baller shot caller”. In this scenario I am the chick and I think “big baller shot caller” when I use it and find my pencil perfectly sharpened and unharmed at the end of the process. If you’ve got the money and are lusting after it then do your thing homie. Otherwise, stay on your grind and if you find yourself still wanting it in the future with the money to spare then go for it.

Very Expensive - Seems High Quality and Does a Great Job
I bought this because i was tired of the pencil sharpener I had breaking the lead and doing a terrible job. This looked to be high quality and had the "no oversharpen" feature, the automatic brake, and how it sharpens pencils was adjustable.Let me say the 20 pencils or so I've sharpened are fantastic and it did a great job. Occasionally, it does oversharpen pencils and didn't automatically brake. I could not figure out why given they were all different kinds. The 3rd pencil I sharpened was a blackwing and I intended to just sharpen it until it automatically stopped but eventually realized it wasn't automatically stopping. Oh well. The quality seems fairly high. Looking inside, the gears are plastic (not metal) and this is disappointing but hopefully they last. For this cost, I think they should be steel. The actual sharpening mechanism was fantastic and did a great job with both cheap pencils, colored pencils, and blackwing bencils. It looks great also. The handle has a plastic tube on the end so it spins freely while sharpening. For this level of money, that should be metal. Overall, I would say this is overpriced but it does a good job.If the plastic bits don't break in the next 15 years and the sharpening mechanism doesn't dull, I will be satisfied but obviously it's too early to tell.

Arrived scratched.
A bit overpriced for what it is and it arrived with a noticeable scratch.

Sometimes just buy something overpriced because....
It's a work of art.It works great, I like the adjustment, it holds the pencil while sharpening. Almost perfect.Yes, no one needs this expensive of a pencil sharpener. Go spoil yourself.

Not worth it!!
The description says that it has two helix blades, but it only has one. Also the adjustment for the point did not do anything for me. If there was a difference it was very very slight! Way over priced!!! Should cost only about $30.00
