Expert E032904 1/2-inch Hex Bit Socket Drive Set (8 Pieces)

Bought these on special, as I had been threatening a set for a while and went for these as it is a good trusted old school brand IMO, but came as Stanley expert, I queried this with customer services, Tumbleweed moment, so I googled it and found out britool are now part of the same company as stanley, and to be fair they look and feel very good quality, very pleased overall. I do hope these are still made in uk as this was my other reason for buying this brand, I keep Buying British if I can but getting really difficult to know where anything is made as labelling does not always show this.

Britool quality at a good price. Ok, Britool isn't what it used to be, but their stuff is still worth paying a bit of a premium for; and these are no exception. The size markings on the sockets are large and fairly clear, and you definitely feel the will last.

Excellent quality and finish, hard to fault. If you need to be really picky, the size stampings could be easier to read (larger), but overall the usual Britool quality - professional grade at a fair price, I fully expect these to last a very long time in professional use.

These are a loaf of rubbish while removing 3 clutch bolts that were t40 on the forth bolt it rounded it off, rather annoyed at myself I later inspected the tool and the torx head had twisted a ridiculous ammont I am really disappointed in this box of bits.My advice would be buy a good set don't waste your money on poor quality junk like this.

Not really Britool tools, like you would expect. These came packaged as Stanley Expert, and the tools themselves come embossed just with 'Expert'. This is so they can market them with whichever of the house brands they like and only change the outer packaging (Stanley / Britool in this country). They are just generic (more than likely chinese) tools, better than poundshop quality, but nowhere near the quality of the real Britool stuff from several years ago. I'm sure these will serve me well for light DIY use.

I have lots of "Britool" stuff in my tool boxes and these seem well made and nicely finished and fit snugly onto my 1/2-inch driver heads. The storage strip is a novel idea and works well too. Good stuff!
