Bike trekkers guide
Bought this book as a gift for an avid cyclist who loves to go on cycling trips with friends. It's brilliant ( as are all the Lonely planet guides). The good thing about this book is that it covers regions worldwide and gives comprehensive information specifically for the cycling enthusiast. Also has beautifully illustrated photos of each region and gives plenty of ideas for where to plan your next cycling adventure!Highly recommend and very affordable too!

A Beautiful book
This book is lovely, it covers many countries around the world and shows the routes well with maps and photos and good information. It makes you want to go and do these bike routes so ideal for any cycling enthusiast. The book is quite large and is hardback so ideal as a coffee table book or planning a trip but would be very large and heavy to actually take with you on your bike trip. Impressive and would recommend.

A beautiful book for bikepacking enthusiasts
The media could not be loaded. This is a stunning visual guide to 75 of the world's best cycles routes, beautifully presented with gorgeous photos, helpful information and detailed maps.Whether you're a keen cyclist or not, it's a joy to look through and an interesting read. For the eager bikepacker, there's plenty of information about each route, including the difficulty level, distance, hazards and gear required. This is in no way a small book and most definitely not a pocket sized guide - it's more of a large, rather heavy coffee table book. It's perfect to help with deciding and planning a bikepacking holiday though. My husband is a keen cyclist, and given half a chance, he'd be off to try out some of these routes. I'm not into cycling myself, but I have to say that reading through this book, it does look very appealing. I could possibly be persuaded!

Good book but lacks A LOT of places!
The idea for this book is great, however the contents are somewhat disappointing.Even though it's got plenty of routes with a lot of wonderful photos, it actually does not have that many routes? Only two routes in France and Italy? What about Austria? Switzerland? Poland?Disappointing.

A good book for giving you inspiration.
I received this item through the Amazon Vine programme.A really great coffee table/inspiration style book, nicely printed on heavy paper stock - I can sit and imagine planning for all of these rides.I think the selection around the world is great and is very wanderlust-y.I would have enjoyed a section on emergency kit and on the roadside bike repair, as that is something I think unsupported riders desperately need guidance on.The maps give a general guide, but are nowhere near detailed enough to actually use for your rides. Definitely an inspiration, but you'll want to do much more specific research before heading out.Worth the asking price of £19.99.

Great travel ideas
This is a really good and inspirational guide with some great ideas for places to visit when cycling and back packing. Great for planning journeys, and some fantastic pictures of where to go. Four stars.

Great planning / Coffee table book
This book is a really lovely book. The Bikepacker's Guide to the World by Lonely Planet is a nice sized hard backed book. This book includes bikepacking across the world . It has nice colour photographs, and lots of information and maps. It is an interesting book but more of a coffee table book than a reference book for planning. A good starting point though for planning a holiday.
