Paul Thomas Anderson writes and directs this US drama starring Mark Wahlberg. In the 1970s disco era, 17-year-old high school dropout Eddie Adams (Wahlberg) is working in a nightclub in California and looking for a break when he is spotted by veteran adult film director Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds). Horner invites Eddie to stay at his lavish home in the San Fernando Valley and rechristens him as Dirk Diggler and makes him a star of adult cinema. Eddie enjoys a hedonistic lifestyle on the strength of his new-found fame, but by the 1980s his popularity is on the wane, as video takes over from film and the porn industry loses its innocence.

a great comedy drama, heather graham looks gorgeous in it, it looks great on blu ray and is a great buy.

Great recreation of the '70s
Burt Reynolds should have gotten an Oscar for this. He didn't like the movie and distanced himself from it, which he should not have. Mark Wahlberg is hilarious. Can watch this again and again.

Greatest movie ever, according to my husband.
Bought this for my husband as he had accidentally included it in a pile of films he gave to the charity shop. It's his favourite film of all-time, so he's the one giving it 5* 😂

One of my fav movies. Unfortunately alot of people will think it's just about porn. But its soo much more. Easily Mark Whalbergs best film.
