Hi, after putting the matte top coat on you cure for the same length of time then with the scrub fresh remove as normal the tacky layer. The matte effect should become visible immediately.

Q: My bottle of mtc is cloudy (as is normal with matte top coats) but has a strong yellow tint to it. is is supposed to be yellowed?

Not really, my one looks yellow as well, but when I apply it it’s clear

Q: How to check it's genuine or not?

I bought mine on amazon. It comes in the original bottle in an intact box and it works just fine.
