It works for light rains
Might not stand a heavy downpour but is ok for light rains. Walks in light rains are more enjoyable as they are transparent and let one enjoy the view.

It broke on the first day of use!
An extremely flimsy product! I can’t believe it’s on the Amazon product line-up! The first time we used it, it opened and closed fine. But, the same day, when we tried to reopen it, it opened upside down and before we could react the material started coming out of the groves! I somehow managed to close the umbrella and fix the material back in the right spikes when I got home. Today was the third time I tried to use this umbrella and when I pressed the open button on the handle, the material came off… flapping in the breeze with the spokes all exposed. What a sight! Wish I could give this product a negative rating! Buyers beware!!
