Great Tool!
Used the kit to insert pistons in a 1963 194cu small block Chevy motor. The compressor kit worked like a breeze!

Didn't work for CP2
This tool is junk, useless for motorcycle engines. I thought I was doing myself a favor by getting a more expensive tool, but it turns out the sleeve type worked 10x better. With this tool, as soon as you get the piston close, the tool loosens up and doesn't compress the oil ring enough. Trip to AutoZone and $15 later, and the sleeve type worked beautifully. The CP2 engine has 80mm pistons, and I used the correct size for them. It's just not a great tool for motorcycle engines in my experience, but maybe it works better for larger pistons, like on a big v8. The issue is that the clamping force is in the center of the compressor, and it's not evenly spread out between the top and bottom. The sleeve type has 2 straps- one for the top and one for the bottom, which keeps the tool square on the piston all the way through. Saver yourself the $80 or however much this is, and try the cheaper tool first.

Will not work
Decent material but will not embrace the rings into the pistons adequately to install ring laden pistons.

Perfect
Works perfect for installing motorcycle jugs with the pistons already installed on the connecting arm.
