Presto 09905 Pressure Canner Sealing Ring/Safety Plug Pack

well, you have to love your pressure canner to really excited over a sealing ring. Last time I canned, noticed steam escaping from around the lid. This came yesterday, installed this morning and canned several pints of beef. no problems, no troubles, and no steam escaping. made in China. would rather not, but haven't seen a made in America one. Which is one of the reasons I like my All American canner - made in the USA with no sealing ring needed. But the Presto canner has become my go to as it holds more pints and is much lighter making it easier to use. compromise compromise - BUT NOT with the sealing ring!

It's great to be able to buy parts for things in these days of disposable everything. Mom gave me here old pressure canner, and I replaced the seal and plug and it works like new! Then, my sister hooked my up with a bunch of fresh green beans, took the canner to mom's, she taught me the ins and outs of canning, so now I'm hooked! We should all "put food by", and more than the government recommended 3 days worth, just ask the Sandy victims! Oh, but wait, if you store food you'll be on a government watch list.....not joking. Screw them, we gotta eat, and freshly canned veggies are way better then preservative laden canned goods.

Works well and fits my presto pressure canner. Bought 2 just so that I would have an extra on hand that should last my life time of canning. Glad to have found these on Amazon. Bought the plug so am now set with a like new pressure cooker canner.

This is and original equipment kit. Don't settle for an after market solution. I spend too much time growing and preparing produce from the garden to take a chance on the canning process. I have canned 50+ jars since my purchase and have not had a single jar fail to seal. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Exactly what I needed for my pressure canner and I didn't have to drive all over the country trying to find it. I have since given a link to a friend to purchase it also. The seal is one of those things that should be replaced frequently but both of us put it off because they were hard to find locally. Problem solved! It was also easy to put in the lid. No problems whatsoever!

I've bought many of these .. for some reason this has been the best so far. A new gasket will usually be very difficult to "break in" making it a challenge to get it on and off the pot, this one moved smoothly from the first try. The new parts have made my cooker get pressurized much faster and much more quiet
