worked great and good price
I had a couple of coax cables that had bad ends. when pricing new cables it became clear that repairing the 2 i had would be much cheaper. There is an order to the how the item needs to be assemble but there are some good videos on Youtube. i also believe that there was a video included in the description. this item came with 2 different types of connectors which is what i needed. the video only demonstrated how to install one of the connectors. i would buy the kit again, i believe it is a good value. After 6 months both continue to work well.

Great crimper for RG58 RG59 RG8X
This was bought as a present. The recipient has been using solder type connectors and was not happy with the inconsistent results. This kit included several connectors to learn with or use if you already know how to work it. The crimp tool is good for RG-58, RG-59, and RG8X cable, so long as you select the correct size of braid connector barrel on the cable side of the PL-259 connector for the job. It will not work with LMR-400, RG-213, or RG-8 (full size old-school stuff) as they physically cannot fit into the crimp tool. A very nice introductory kit for the supported cable types.

Nice toolkit, buy be aware
You will need to tighten the screws holding in the jaws of this crimper, it was semi loose on first crimp, and ruined a connector.

Mixed bag
Little disappointed. The crimper is exactly as expected. Not high end but good enough for hobbyist work. It's reasonably well made and has a useful selection of crimp sizes. The coax stripper is garbage. Doesn't cut well out of the box. Tried to adjust it and the blades immediately move out of level and no easy way to work them back. Sort of cut the outer jacket but could not cut the middle insulator at all. The wire cutters are fair if you're cutting small gauge wire or zip cord. For coax, it mashes as much as it cuts. The included connectors are for surprisingly small coax. RG174 sure , mb RG58 if you push hard enough, though I wouldn't bet on it. RG-8 (as advertised)? Not even close. If I could have bought just the crimper by itself for a few bucks less, I would have and been far happier.

the equipment is made to last
the wire stripper which is the small rectangular thing with they eye loop, is a bit more involved and i suggest you watch some videos, (many) as only 2 of the 12 i watched covered all the adjustments and settings.the device works like a champ. the crimper is first rate, and i do recommend it, but do your home work, there are some larger sizes this will not accommodate

It works surprising well
Pretty complete kit. And I generally solder connectors the old school way and thought I’d give crimping a chance. Crimped on a few UHG connectors onto LMR 240. Connectors not from this kit. And tested them with a coax tester and then the radio. Worked really well and a lot faster than soldering.
