I store in freezer when not in use, but I can tell you, they don't provide more that 20-30 min max on the cooling, of course, it depends on how hot your climate is.

Yes. I have four of them that I keep in the freezer when I’m not using them. It’s just like any other ice pack you would freeze.

Q: Can this go into checked luggage on an airplane without damage from changes in air pressure or temperature?

I don't see why not, they are shipped to the USA from across the world
