The previous fan had become increasingly noisy as it came with one of the lesser brands default fan, causing a slight vibration in the console. I bought this product because I needed a replacement fan for my newel model digital PS5. The old one was becoming more and more noisy and was causing the console to shake/vibrate slightly. This fan is definitely quieter but isn't as silent as I think it should be. There is a slight buzzing/grinding noise under load which could be coil whine, but I think it's mostly just the fan. You have to be really close to hear it and it's totally silent at idle unless right next to it. I can only really hear the fan when a game is running. Big improvement over the defective one I had.I also chose this product because it clearly stated it was for the newer CFI-1200 model number consoles. This is incredibly important because the newer consoles require a longer cable (9cm vs. 6cm) to be able to reach the fan header. None of the other fan listings stated which model it was for which is ridiculous. So many bad reviews due to the cable being too short so I wanted to be 100% sure.

Very easy to install & has been working good!!

My PS5 came with one of the lower end fans and replacing it with this was a breeze and I feel like it works better, like the fan doesn’t have to run as long when it kicks in as well as being a bit quieter.

Works fine, no issues

This is an excellent fan to have on hand when your PS5 fan dies. This is a 23 blade fan and seems to be just as quiet as the stock fans. I'm very happy to have this part on the sideline just in case my PS5 fan dies. Let there be no downtime!! It's a fan. It does the job well.
