Ordered to make a few hair products and a lip stain. Worked really well in the hair products, still trying to get the lip stain right. You know how it goes. It's a good sized bag, so I still have quite a few toys left!

I originally ordered this to make hair gel and maybe some peel-off face masks. I didn't realize until after did some research that this Polyvinyl Alcohol can be used for making slime just like Elmer's Glue (which contains mainly Polyvinyl Acetate)--they're both often called PVA (that A can stand for Acetate or Alcohol) though they're different (but related) chemicals. I've made slime dozens of times with glue with my kids. I didn't even know there was another way.So, of course I made some slime with this first as a surprise for my teenaged son. It's a very different consistency. You have to try it. It's a non-newtonian fluid! It's also more rubbery and bouncy than glue-slime. You do use a borax solution to make it, just like with polyvinyl acetate.

Sister is a cosmetologist and does some weird magic in her shop with this but she told me it wwas soluble and did gel up well for her needs so 5 Stars!

I was excited to try this Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) for a hair gel project, and it did not disappoint! The quality is excellent and it creates a smooth, protective coating on the hair shaft and is great for moisture retention and frizz control. I plan to use it next in a conditioner formula. So far, I really like it. A must-have for haircare DIY enthusiasts!

I can't comment on the quality of this powder, compared to others, since this is the first time I have used it. However, I figured how to use it to make slime, and my nephews love it. It is a fine powder, so it mixes quite easily, and I am looking forward to using it with other things, as I learn.
