BirkenstockWomen's Arizona SFB Cuir Suede Open Toe Sandals, 5

I have worn Birkenstocks for years. Usually I buy lightweight models with ankle straps that keep them on my feet while walking, such as non-leather Rios, but I did own one pair of leather slip-on Arizonas (bought in Glasgow back in the very early 90s.) When that pair finally wore out this spring, after mostly indoor use, I decided to try the new 'soft footbed' model.Wow! What a difference. These are the non-leather version which I'm already used to, but the big difference is this wonderful soft footbed. What a difference. It's not too squishy to give the usual Birkenstock support, but that 'hard' feeling that some people dislike in Birkenstocks is completely gone. This is the innovation Birkenstocks have been needing. These are well-crafted, fit perfectly, built to a high standard. I am totally pleased, enough to have ordered a second pair as a gift.I can hardly wait for this soft footbed to be introduced across the Birkenstock range.

Nice fit (order to your size), very comfortable, nice quality.

I ordered various sizes and widths, this is not something thats made in the UK that there are narrow fit or regular. This process took ages due to Amazons poor listing of the products. I had to find out from manufacturer which ones were narrow and get the product code and match it against the Amazon listings.Eventually they arrived (promised delivery date passed, again Amazons fault) And the size 11 UK regular fit was perfect. To be honest with my feet I could also have worn the narrow as there is about half a cm of a difference. Some people were saying to size down as they feel big but its necessary to have the space to let your feet spread out.Another gripe is Amazon dont state which ones are leather and which arent. I got the leather ones. My partner has the non leather variety which are also good quality.They look and feel great and will last for years. They do take your feet a few days to get used to the moulded sole shape but they are now worn daily at home and are cozy.

I'm a massive fan of Birkenstocks and have been wearing them for the last 10 years. However, size was supposed to be a 7.5, but more like an 8 as shown in the picture. I knew this particular one is not leather, the leather ones have become too pricey, so this is a good alternative and it means the price range allows for others to afford a good shoe. Apart from the size, I don't have any issues about them, and would definitely recommend. I would advise you look at material content prior to buying if you require leather ones, many are now made of synthetic material.

Bought for my husband. He usually wears a size 8 or 42 but they were far too big. Exchange was really fast. Now he has size 41 and they are brilliant. He is really happy. He loves the navy and the soles are soft and comfy. He said no need to wear them in as they are more comfy than the leather ones. V happy, would definitely order again.

I actually bought two pairs, one for myself and one for my husband. His were size 9 - he is a size 9 and the fit was fine; mine were size 5 - I am a size 5.5 but found the size 5 perfect. Bit weird when you first put them on, you realise your feet need 'reshaping' but after a couple of 'wears' they are so, so comfortable, have been wearing them inside the house as well as going out in them - perfect for driving in.

The description on Amazon was not clear. There was reference to the sandals being leather however this was not the case. I therefore had to return the sandals. A better description would have avoided all this - very disappointing.

Love these shiny Birkenstocks! Nice, comfortable and fit well. British Brands has great customer service! Will def buy from them again :)
