... mainly because of the poor quality nuts and bolts. The instructions say that it's recommended that 2 people assemble the bed frame, yet there is only one tiny spanner and a single Alan key. Nuts are the nylock type, which work well, but they seem to be quite rounded, with very little surface area for the small spanner to grip, I recommend using a socket instead. You have to use your comment sense with assembly, the instructions are pretty straightforward, but fitting the frame to the gas struts, can be awkward and frustrating, because you are having to insert the screws from underneath. However, this is the only semi-difficult part of assembly, and it's a good idea not to fully tighten the screws so you can ensure the frame is properly aligned first. I'm nearly 22stone and I'm happy with the support the curved, wooden slats provide. You may have a problem with the raised frame, because the gas struts are very strong, and without a mattress and bedding, will want to remain raised, someone else will have to help you. When everything is aligned and you eventually get all the nuts and bolts tightened, you are left with quite a firm, strong bedframe, which is excellent value for money. I looked at several bed frames on Amazon, and it looks as if this design is quite common. Different "manufacturers" have the same, identical bed frame, some have a few additions, such as a handle to help raise the bed, and some also have a "floor" to the storage area, sadly this one doesn't. I'm slightly disappointed with the lack of floor, but I can't see the point of a handle. The construction may seem flimsy as you unpack and assemble, but the completed article is solid and quite impressive.

It’s good value for money, assembly is a bit tricky, I thought it was broken at first because the bed won’t close till the mattress is on, but that’s how it’s meant to be, it’s so it’s easy to lift up. Great, lost a star for unclear instruction though.

The bed was poorly fabricated when the right had hinge fixings failed was offered a replacement side but would have to strip full bed to return panel as I'm a single mum and had to pay someone to put the bed together in the first place this wasn't feasible was told that's my problem. Don't buy from this seller

The king size version certainly has plenty of storage space underneath and can be erected by a single person. Attaching the square metal frame element by yourself can be a bit tricky but manageable. The frame is very sturdy and looks good. There were additional pieces rather than any missing and for the price paid, very good value for money compared to other models. With a memory foam mattress, it is very comfortable to sleep on. Would recommend

The bed is absolutely great - sturdy and great quality for the money. It was easy to assemble and instructions super clear!! One of the parts had come broken and I contact the seller and they had arranged for a new one to be sent out to me same day. Nothing was too much trouble. Couldn’t recommend this bed or company enough!! Also - all screws and bolts came with atleast one spare which I think is fab as it’s always so annoying to end up 1 screw short.

Nice bed but could be sturdier and two screw hole wouldn't take the screws that was supplied with the bed and no handle to lift bed and the screws keep coming out of the headboard so got to keep tighting it
