Couldn't ask more on this price point
For $35 bucks you get a really good quality headset, people that like more colorful sounds I have to say, maybe you're going to be disappointed since it has a flat sound EQ... So it's a really balanced headset making it really versatile specially for those willing to listen various genres of music on them, also the voices come really clear on movies and microphone is good with a decent ambient noise filtering, the band is really really comfortable and feels really sturdy, same can't be said about the cups that doesn't feel as robust and not vented at all so they get a little hot after a couple hours with them on, the cord is also on the fragile side and they are non exchangeable so if they break you have to throw all away. The package is impressive is beautiful and striking but I rather a simpler box but a exchangeable cord or at least a nylon braided cord maybe... All and all it's a great cost effective headset, with great looks. So far I'm really happy with them.

Poorly made and designed
Stopped working literally 1 month after purchase. Zero warning. It was working one night before I went to bed, and not the next morning. No clear reason of why. Support was absurdly slow and unhelpful. When it was working, the major issues I found were that the frame hummed like a tuning fork at the slightest touch. Which slowly grew more and more annoying. And the cord seems flimsy as hell. Ive gone through many headsets over the years, and the cord is always the fail point. The cord on this is the worst I have ever seen and I wouldn't expect it to last 6 months. 1 year tops. The ear cups barely covered my ears too. Just slightly to small.Otherwise, the sound quality was fine. Nothing special, just fine. Driver software was crap requiring registration just to have access to basic features.

Decent Overall—Electra V2 USB
TL;DR, this is a decent headset for the price. The factors for a 4 star rating and not 5 are:-non braided cable-tad bit uncomfortable-above average/below exceptional sound qualityOther than that, this is a very well rounded, stylish, and great headset. I would recommend. The very first thing that irks me about this headset is it does not have a braided cable. For a $70 usb headset, a braided cable is not an unreasonable feature to have asked for. That being said, the build quality of the Electra V2 is great. The earcups have a solid but soft padding, and the plastic around the earcups are matte. I know many people avoid the depression/expansion (D/E) headband system, but I love it. I have found that this headset is better than most other D/E headsets. The headband does not want to automatically pull back and release the tension. It will stay where you put it. The headband itself is also very comfortable. The black aluminum structural band is sturdy and flexible. The microphone is what you’d expect for $70. The sound is better than some triple digit headsets I’ve used, it just lacks some compression. If you use a third party program to compress it a little, the mic sounds decent, unlike others might say. It’s really nice and convenient that it is detachable as I use the Blue Yeti microphone, even while gaming. However if I am on the go or simply do not feel like having a huge mic in my face I always have the Electra’s as an option.Comfort is okay, for me. My ears tend to get sore and I my other wish is the earcups were slightly wider and deeper. Other than that I am able to use this headset for a few hours at a time so it is not a huge drawback, but something worth noting.Sound experience is decent. This headset does a great job at higher frequencies, but lows to even mids can feel a little empty and shallow. If lows were a little more pronounced this would make for an exceptional listening experience. The blending of the ranges are there, the emphasis on lows are not. I’m not saying that it is bad by any means. I am just saying it’s not the best you can get for this price point in terms of audio quality. Finally Razer Synapse allows this headset to excell over other headsets at stock purchase. The 7.1 surround is automatically configured if using the USB version and it works very well. There are a few options for enhancing sound and the microphone straight from your system tray: no need to open the app. The only downside I could see for some people is the light is not RGB, it is only G. For my black and green setup, this headset fits right in.

Very comfortable, great sound (when it works)
After having it just a few days the sound would cut out every few hours and i would need to plug it in again. Updated everything appropriate, but problem persisted. I dealt with sound quality tanking or cutting off completely until i tried to re-plug it and was given a device malfunction error.I got a replacement, because i know flubs happen.Very comfortable, great sound (when it works), good recording quality. Heres hoping.

Inferior to the original in every way.
I've been using the original razer Electra for many years and they were finally starting to fall apart so I was looking into a replacement, but they don't sell them anymore so I decided to get these. firstly the "adjustable headband" isn't actually adjustable it has the spring loaded inner strap and the unmoving outer band. It fits nicely as long as your head is within that 2 inch tolerance. And on the topic of the aluminum frame, it's essentially a big tuning fork that amplifies the sound of everything that touches the headphones or the cord in any way. For a USB cord it could stand to be a little longer for people who don't keep their pc on the desk but otherwise it's ok other than the aforementioned sounds you can hear anytime it is touched. The single 40mm speaker isn't bad but it pales in comparison with the original having 4 tweeters and a sub in each ear piece that made it comparable to top of the line headphones. the microphone being detachable is nice, especially not being in the cord like the old ones, and it has very good sound gating for anything it isn't pointed directly at but it still isn't by any means an amazing microphone. I'm not sure who at razer decided that the first Electra headphones being made specifically for music and sound quality wasn't good enough so they made v2 a cheap gaming headset but they need to find new employment somewhere they can't do any more harm to a business.
