TAJ Chakki Atta, 100% Stone Ground Whole Wheat Flour | 10 Pounds | Great for Roti, Bread, Pizza, Baking | Softest Chappati Tortilla and more

I have been looking for whole wheat flour that actually has the complexity of flavors and not just a one note-over processed flour. This is it! Great color. Grain size is good for bread, naan and I have even incorporated it into some cookies.

This was good flour for me to make mostly bread. But really it will work on anything you wish to use it for, like pancakes, biscuits, tortillas you name it, me happy.

(Wife using husband’s account to write review) This is the worst aata ever. If you’re an Indian or Pakistani, looking to make rotis, please do not order this aata. I’ve never worked with a more impossible to work with aata ever before in my life. The dough does things that I didn’t think were possible for dough to do, becomes brick solid and color changes to dark brown within hours of kneading! I don’t know what they’ve added to this aata. I’ve eaten chakki-ka-aata my whole life so I know what good aata is, and this is FAR from it!

This was delivered promptly. Made lots of breads that rise and are quite light and fluffy. Much better than the Organic pastry flour I was using before. Will buy again.

After being laid off from work I really keeping my my off things with baking considering I’m not very good at it, takes my mind off things. This bag super useful and I finally made homemade biscuits for family. They weren’t prettiest but tastes buttery and flavorful and this flour held up well with my recipe. Can’t really say it’s different that the other wheat flour I have but it’s most certainly gets the job done, smells fresh enough. Hopefully will last me a good while and I won’t have to worry about bad batches since this bag is huge!

I've never baked with Chakki Atta before, although I do a lot of baking, so I was very excited to get this and bake up some homemade naan and explore other recipes.When you first open the bag, it smells very fresh, and the texture is so soft and fine!Like others, I did notice some of the typo's on the bag in the recipe they provided for Chapati (it says "Mix 1/2 a cut of whole wheat flour & 4 tsp of salt together in a mixing bowl." Having a lot of previous baking experience, I can safely assume that was meant to say 1/2 CUP of flour and 1/4 tsp of salt. But when I'm ready to make some Chapati, I'll probably look up a recipe online just to confirm correct amounts.So far I'm very happy with this flour and the recipes I've tried.I was disappointed that the bag is not resealable - you will need to transfer it to your own airtight container so it stays fresh.The production date on the bag I received is 5/2023, I received it in 8/2023, and the Exp. date on the bag is 4/2025.The price seems about average compared to other brands on Amazon (although I imagine you might find it cheaper in an Indian grocery).

I found this flour to be more finely ground than my normal bulk option for whole wheat flour, which is what I expect from Chappati flour. I've never worked with this before, but it seems like it would be better for most tasks due to being more finely ground.As whole wheat flour, it will go rancid much quicker than white flour... the bag indicates an expiration of April 2025, which is 20 months from my purchase date, but once opened, I would give it 3-6 months at best... unless you like sour spoiled flour.Mine smells, tastes and works like fresh flour.The quality and price are good, I have no problem recommending this.Made in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Roti becomes extremely chewy after few minutes. This is definitely not pure wheat flour. It seems like it’s mixed up with all purpose flour. I will never buy it again. Anyone looking at this review please do not buy this product because once you buy you won’t be able to return it.
