L’Oréal Paris Colorista Semi-Permanent Hair Color for Brunette Hair, Midnight blue

I used Tangerine and Pink, and compared to Arctic Fox’s Ginger Flare and Frosé, these work better. They last longer and the color deposits way more evenly, and for half the price. I do still use Arctic Fox’s Poseidon and Transylvania to get the right shade of pinkish brown, and I noticed that the orange and pink tints don’t wash out as quickly as the blue and black tints even though I use less of those.

My daughter has dark brown hair. She wanted Midnight Blue. I got this, and even though it says it is for brunette hair, I still took the time to lighten her hair first. If you want the best results, regardless of what it says - lighten the hair first!Why did I get a dye that is made to reduce damage to hair via not requiring bleaching first... If I was still gonna use bleach on her hair? Because I did not want to fry her hair, by using a dye that requires her to be fully lifted blonde. This dye allowed me to reduce damage by not having to bleach her hair AS LONG or several times. All I had to do was lightly bleach it to a light brown once.I recommend doing that if you want the blue of this dye to show up. Doing it on darker brown hair just makes it look black with a slight blue tint when the light hits it.

It is not user friendly to apply. Color didn't last long

I’ve been using this brand in the Pink color for several years now. I actually have my stylist only bleach my hair when I go in, so that I can go home and put this color on top. I am known for my hair color, and get so many compliments! It feels very “me”. I usually have to reapply every 2-3 weeks, but it’s worth it. No hair salon has been able to get me this color!

I have been using this product for about 10 years. I use the color light blue colorista blue600 but it has been unavailable for about 2 years. I guess they discontinued it. Imagine how delighted I was to find this color on this page. I ordered 10 boxes. The package arrived and the boxes inside looked alittle beaten up and were wrapped inmasses of what looked like a kitchen plastic wrap. Today I decided to use this beautiful light blue color. I opened a box and immediately knew that this color was wrong. I have tried every single ColoRista over the years trying to find something like the light blue. So the box is right but the color is incorrect. It is actually the Indego500. which is a very purple...ish color. I hate it. It stains everything it touches. The sink the shower hands and face. Now the light blue will also stain alittle but nothing that doesn't wash off with soap amd water. This stuff today stained and needed major scrubbing with ajax. and I still have pruple spots. Well I have sent it all back. Of course I had to open 3 boxes before I established that they all contained the same color. The minute I opened the lid I knew it was wrong. The blue600 is a very defined blue this was a very bright purple. Now I don't quite understand why they have the wrong color in the boxes, but they do. They must have been repacked at some point. Lets see what they say about this. More to come.

The 3 star review is not for the quality of the product or the ease of use, which is all fair. It's because the color does not come out as advertised. My normal hair is medium chestnut brown with highlights. It looks exactly like the 'medium brunette' advertised on the box with 'light brunette' highlights. I have low porosity, naturally curly hair that is root color touched up every 3 weeks (professionally). Today I had my roots touched up and had my stylist add this product in maroon to add some red back into my hair. The product is stupid easy to use, you just squirt it out of the tube. I left it on about 30 minutes, then washed and styled normally. It came out VERY dark with no hint of red. It definitely did not match the 'after' picture. It may fade into the color on the box, but buyer beware. I don't dislike my color, but it isn't what I purchased or expected.

At 72 I have been using L’Oréal’s palest pink temporary color on my platinum blonde hair for 5 years. I put small streaks on each side. When out and about people say “I love your hair”, one tube will last you a year if you are only doing small strands or streaks. Because my hair is naturally light it takes about 7/8 shampoos to wash out. I love it because with each shampoo it becomes an even softer pink. Why do I do this at my age? My little Granddaughter’s think Grammy is cool.

Love this color!!! It washes out within a week but it’s worth it!
