A bit too focused and spotlight like for a diffuse background glow, but a bit too diffused to make it pinpoint.The cheap to out with RGB control by using plastic sheets, but thankfully they do work, and they will definitely work for mood lighting in that sense, however you can't really combine them because it blocks more light, and it becomes very dark.The legs and telescopic rod are perfectly fine, and don't seem to have any issues with movement, but they are a bit wobbly, and if you don't tighten them well there are always chances for it to fall over slowly.Annoyingly there is no separate tightening screw at the top, so you have to rotate the whole stand or rotate the lamp, to make it fit properly, and if you rotate it the wrong way it will just unscrew itself.The USB cable is long enough, and has the power switch on it, which would prefer on the lamp, because if you want to hide the cable behind stuff you can't really do that because you will need to access the on/off switch.to make matters worse, it doesn't remember, so if you turn it off on the wall, and then turn it back on, you will have to press the button on the micro processor, because it will just default to off-state. This means you can't wire it to a smart plug or similar.The packaging is very intelligent, and it comes out of a very small box of becomes quite a large lamp, no larger than a small briefcase, which means that if you were to want to use these as portable, you could package it back away into the cardboard boxes, and it wouldn't be much trouble at all.

I would but them in the £40 range, during this review they cost £69.If you're just starting to film/photography then I see them having so use. Myself? I might use them in the background to help set a mood.I worry that they might be more hassle then there worth during my next project. Removing LED bleeding once we have shoot, especially blue can be a nightmare.But I do see lots of possibilities with them. Being 5v usb devices mean you can take them out and about at night, and get some fun shots at night whilst playing with shutter speeds.So a 4**** from me, the build of the lights and tripods is a little on the cheap side for me, but if your on a budget they could just be perfect for you!

Très surpris de recevoir de petites boîtes, me suis-je trompé dans la commande ? Non non, tout ce merveilleux équipement est envoyé dans de petites boîtes bien compactes.On déballe, le tout s'installe très rapidement. Pas de notice en français, mais cela n'est pas nécessaire pour comprendre comment les assembler.Une fois monté, je me rends compte que les câbles d'alimentation sont en USB (chouette), mais les fils sont courts (pas chouette). Avec une rallonge USB, le problème est réglé, mais dommage.Je recherche comment changer la couleur... ah bah non, pas de sélection de couleur des LEDs, mais des bandes de couleur primaire à glisser devant les lampes. Probablement un truc de pro... que je ne suis pas.Le tout éclaire mon fond vert suffisamment. J'imagine qu'il y a de bien meilleures solutions d'éclairage, mais probablement pas au même prix.En tout cas, je suis satisfait !Djoe
