Finally! a product that helps me paint my nails neatly. When I've painted my nails without these protectors I would get nail polish all over my fingers and it looked terrible with nail polish caked up on the side of my nails. With the protectors, it has helped me get a neat manicure if I apply the protectors correctly.What I've learned using this product was1) Do both hands before applying nail polish.2) Make sure the edges of the protectors are placed where the skin ends and the nail begins, so you don't have nail polish pool on the side of your fingers.3) Once you remove the protectors I believe they can be used again since they are still sticky ( but not as sticky as the first use)

These guides are made of a thin foam. They peel off the plastic backing easily. They do curl up on themselves when you take them off the backing but they don’t stick to themselves, so it’s possible to place them around the nail with a little care. They come with basic instructions—apply, paint nails, remove. It would help if they told when to remove them or how to remove them. I succeeded on painting my nails without slopping the polish everywhere, but since they don’t tell you how or when to remove them, I chose to grip the back U shaped part and peel forward. One of them tore the polish off one side of the nail and I had to redo that nail. I’m thinking perhaps it might help to let the polish dry completely, then use a tool of some sort to loosen the overlapped paint and then remove the protector. Overall my results painting with my non dominant hand were less messy than when I don’t use a guard, and I’m hoping with practice I get get maximum use out of these. I would have given them a 4 but since I had to redo one nail, I subtracted one star.

These do work but they are very difficult to apply. Assuming you were doing your own nails, it is very tricky to put them on using only one hand! Whoever invented them probably did not think of this. If you had somebody else to help you put it on for you were doing somebody else’s nails, they would be perfect. I saw these in some beauty magazine, maybe allure years ago and decided to order them but they were very hard to find and I really wish I could get more

Really easy to use def worth the buy

I bought it to protect skin and cuticles from getting polish on it it doesn’t work as good as it says it comes off when you put it on and doesn’t stick very well hard to put on wouldn’t recommend it

My 10 year old daughter has been starting to polish her fingernails. She was getting the polish all over the tops of her fingers, so I bought these to help her. What a difference it made for her! She now feels more confident polishing her nails and they look much better. These are easy to use and are durable with no seeping of polish underneath. Highly recommend!

These were not intuitive for me and the directions left me hanging. So, I was not able to use them for the intended purpose. I could not seat them properly around the nail and I could not get them off easily without ruining the polish unless waiting 15+ mins for some drying to take place first (this even with instant dry top coat). Perhaps the failure is all mine, but I have been doing my own nails for years without these and with much less trouble, so I tossed them.
