PXC550 Ear Pads Cushions Replacement Compatible with Sennheiser PXC 550, 550 Wireless, II, MB 660 UC, UC MC - Memory Foam, Leather - Black

I've had these headphones for about 5 years, and the earpads started to separate exposing the foam. I had no idea that the earpads could be replaced, so when I saw this was an option, I jumped on it. The earpads fit perfectly and were a snap to install. They feel just as good as the earpads that came with the headphones. These earpads gave new life to my old headphones that I didn't want to give up.

These pads fit well enough but after three weeks, start to become loose with the covering and come loose.

These earpads are similar to the original earpads that come on the Sennheiser PXC-550, but there are some subtle differences.These pads are a little thicker and the width of the pads are a little wider. The extra width means that the opening where your ears go are a little smaller by almost 1/4 of an inch (about 5mm) in height and 1/8 inch (about 3mm) in width. If you have small ears like me it's not a problem. I think the thicker pads are blocking out a little more noise than the original pads but they also squeeze a little tighter on my head. Again not a deal breaker for me but this may be an issue for someone who is larger (like over 6 feet tall and/or over 250 pounds).At half the price of the replacement earpads coming direct from Sennheiser these are a good deal as long as they fit properly over your ears.
