AMAZING FOR FIGURE PHOTOGRAPHY
I have a little Instagram channel where I share pictures of my collectible goodies. However, I wasn't quite happy with the quality of my photos. Not necessarily in the picture quality (I've got a nice DSLR camera), but rather the shot itself. If I took a picture in front of a blank wall, it had back-shadows. If I took a photo in front of the rest of the house, there were things I don't want in the picture showing.I've been aware of these photo boxes (or light boxes as some call them) for a while. I actually tried one out years ago (from a different brand) but it was total trash. So I took a risk on this one, what with the price being over $100. But I figured it couldn't hurt.Setup was straightforward, but took a while with one person. I'd recommend having someone around to help when it comes to zipping up the canvas around the frame. But even if you do it alone, it'll be fine, just takes a little longer. The backdrop color options are nice. White is super crisp, the red is really rich. Black and peach were nice options to have available too.Size wise, this thing is quite large. Right now it's just on the floor of our bedroom, but I'm working on putting together a more permanent spot for it in the house (I don't really want to be taking it down and up over and over again). It fits even my biggest statue, which is nice and exactly what I wanted. This rig has 1000% upgraded the quality of my photos, and given me exactly what I needed in terms of backgrounds/backdrops. If you do any sort of product photography, GET THIS!

Huge light box with decent light output at a great price point
TL;DR: If you want a giant light box that puts out decent lighting at a great price, then this is the light box for you.***The cons listed below are definitely not deal breakers for me and probably won't mean much to you if you're not into photography and just want something to up your photo game for your side hustle!***Pros-Decent light output for size-Can fit really big items including children and large electronics without issue-Affordable price-Multiple backdrop colors-Collapses down into bag and can be hidden away with relative easeCons:-Could come with one more LED strip for ultimate reduction in shadows-Baffle knocks lighting down by 2-3 full stops-Silver reflective sides can sometimes be in photo if not shooting in square ratio-Backdrop seems a bit long and instructions aren't optimal for seamless backdropSIZE: As a typical impulse shopper that sometimes suffers from analysis paralysis, I had decided after about a month of reading reviews on all sorts of light boxes, that 24x24x24 wasn't big enough and needed the biggest I could find that still had good reviews. I also didn't want the hassle of needing to buy another one down the road or returning it because I needed a larger one so I went with this one and am pleased with the results.Once assembled, this thing is fricking YUGE. We have the space for it so I am happy that I went up in size. If you do not plan to take photos of anything large like car parts, large table lamps, or small children and you need something that can take up the least amount of space as possible while assembled, this is probably not the best size for your needs. Plates of food and jewelry/small trinkets would probably be better off in the next size down.SET UP/INSTRUCTIONS: The directions are pretty straightforward and assembly is fairly simple, but because of its size, this is not a one person job unless you are 6'3" and have the arm span of an albatross and the patience of a saint. I am only 5'5" and have the patience of a hangry preschooler so I had to have my fiance come help me within five minutes of assembling the frame and struggling to zip the box assembly without it falling off.One thing I will note with the directions--if you want this to appear as a seamless background, do NOT run the backdrop behind the bar as indicated with the instructions. In fact, I didn't even tuck it behind the little flap up top because that still doesn't give me the true seamless look that I want and the backdrop actually seemed too long to even do that without creating random wrinkles. I have the backdrop tucked under one of the upper frames to give the bottom a larger radius (rounded) corner for a true seamless without needing to edit anything.FUNCTION: This comes with two LED light bars. Lighting placement will change the location of your shadows so you will need to play around with this until you find a set up that satisfies you. In the two sample photos I've attached, light #1 is positioned about 2" closer to the backside from the top middle with it angled two clicks towards the back and light #2 is actually attached on the front side frame, about 10" from the top, angled close to 45 degrees down so the light falls off a few inches in front of the subject.I do not have the front panel zipped down, it is just folded on top so I'm sure that I would be able to get slightly more light output if I zipped it shut and shot the photos from the smaller opening. I prefer to be able to shoot more head on so I am ok with losing some output since my camera (and most phone cameras) are capable of making up for that without the photos becoming grainy. As you can see in the photos, one background is a crisp white while the other is almost a very faint gray. Same background, different settings and the baffle is inserted on the light blue shoes photo in order to capture the most accurate colors and prevent highlight blowouts on the lighter color. The darker background can still easily be corrected using an app on your phone that will prevent color blow out so the extra five seconds of editing is worth the accurate colors. Both photos taken with auto mode on a Samsung Galaxy Note 8 using the brightness slider after tapping on my desired focal point. IF YOU MOVE AFTER TAPPING ON YOUR FOCAL POINT, YOUR PHOTO WILL BE BLURRY. Auto mode functions almost identically on all newer Androids and iPhones so hopefully this tip helps someone out there understand how to get themselves the best photos from their phone without thinking they need a DSLR they don't really need. You can also put your phone's camera into 1x1/square mode because most people browse from their phones and *all* buy/sell apps (Ebay, Etsy, Poshmark, Mercari, FB Marketplace, etc.) all show square mode from the main listing unless the photos are clicked on for some (Poshmark is square ratio only). Square mode will also prevent the silver reflective sides from being captured in the photo depending on how far back you're taking the photo.

Big enough for many applications. Also, came with light softening cloth and extra background
First of all this thing is huge!!! I didn’t realize how big a 2’x2’x2’ box is. My Sister-in-Law asked if she could use it to take pictures of her 6 month old son cause it is so big haha!OK now for why I give it 5 stars. Well first, It works perfectly. The included LEDs, backgrounds, and case itself all work as expected. I like that it folds down and has a carry handle for easy transport and storage. I throw it behind my dresser and pull it out only when needed. I initially thought I had an issue with the background length as it doesn’t fit in the top and bottom slots but I found that it looks better and holds better when I just have the excess curve up against the roof of the box which also stops it from falling down as it would if merely slipped into the little pocket part like it is supposed to. The included LEDs are very bright and make for a well lit and professional looking photo because of the reflective material on the inside of the box. What it didn’t tell you in the description is that it comes with a little material thing to hang on the top to soften up the light a little. It is perfect if you are trying to sell a product and need an inventory photo because you can take the photo and different angles without having to move the item itself making for some consistent photos. The things that I would like to see changed include:Maybe a better way of holding in background papers so you don’t have to get creative for it to stay up. Maybe some clips or hooks in the corners to hold the background. That would be good too cause you can add other background colors by buying any cloth.Adjustable LEDs. The power supply only has one output so the LEDs have one brightness… BRIGHT. If I could adjust it would be great! All in all, I’m not disappointed in this product and will definitely recommend to others!
