Q: If this is sewn between two pieces of fabric, how is it removed, or does it stay in?

Its actually ironed between two pieces of fabric, you iron one side then peel of the paper backing and iron it to the second piece of fabric. You have a stiffened piece, good if you are doing applique etc., unfortunately it doesn't come with instructions if you only buy a piece and not the box, I had to work it out by trial and error.

Q: Will this work on a patch? I've not done this before and I can't sew!

IT should hold the patch in place whilst you sew it but it would not be a permanent fix on its own. It's often used in appliqué to keep pieces in place before you sew.

Q: Does this have a back to peel off or is it sticky on both sides without having to peel anything off?

It has peel off paper one side and requires an iron to bond it to the fabric Ideal for appliqué to bond two pieces of fabric together

Q: Could I put a A4 sheet of this through the printer for designing?

sorry i have not tried this so cant help.
