High quality, super zoom.
This lense has a great reach of an equivalent full frame at 800mm. It is shorter and lighter making this a very useful handheld wildlife lense. The image stabilization along with the Panasonic G9M2 in body image stabilization provides for Dual Image Stabilization. If you are a Micro Four Thirds photographer who uses a Panasonic and photographs wildlife, this lense provides the reach without startling your subjects. I used this lense every day for the past three months and give this 5 stars. The autofocus is fast enough and I often use Animal + Eye with Zone detection with 1/1000 shutter speed for a perching bird or 1/2000 for in flight birds.

Very good
Very good, the lens is excellent and better than the Olympus 100-400. My only issue is the lens hood, after a few months of owning it the hood takes some time to take on and off. I prefer the ones that screw on and off since I've never had this issue before.

Absolutely amazing
Never really wrote reviews, but given this lens’s performance and ease of use I decided that I should. The auto focus is fast and is able to capture your subjects every detail.Built in stabilization will assist when you are at full zoom. This especially is nice to have since the lens itself is quite heavy. The overall quality of the lens is well worth the money! The only complaint that I would have, is that the ring to just the zoom is a bit stiff, but I notice that it is getting easier after some use.For anyone who likes to take wildlife pictures, this is a must have! Great lens for street photography as well!

Just Perfect
Awesome build quality, bit on a heavier side for an MFT lens, but great optics

Very nice for the price
I bought this lens for applications such as shooting 4K 422 video of the Starship launches in Boca Chica Texas, and for things like Eclipse photography. I am pleased with the sharpness. You can see from the lunar photo that it's quite good for a under $2,000 zoom lens. It's paired with my Panasonic GH6, which has a 25 megapixel sensor. There is some softness at the edges. I think people that criticize this lens on other sites are expecting it to perform like a $7,500 Olympus Zoom. You're not going to get that kind of performance for under $2,000. At F 6.3 at 400mm it needs light, but for my use case light will not be a problem The zoom ring is not super smooth, but it's also not sticky. You probably wouldn't want to do zooming during video unless you have a very good tripod. The OIS does a good at stabilizing handheld shots, but with the heft of this lens, your arm will get tired rather quickly. I'm happy that I bought it and I'm not going to send it back. I do wish I had been able to find it on sale, last month several sites offered it for $1300.

Outstanding!
Fantastic lens. I bought a Hoya UV filter initially to protect the lens. This was a mistake. My first images with the filter on were awful, especially at 400 mm. After taking off the filter, the images were fantastic. Beyond my expectation - and that’s looking at high magnification on the viewfinder and on a computer. Superb color rendition. And the autofocus with an OM System OM1 Mark ii is very fast and accurate at all focal lengths.
