Works perfectly.
So thrilled that we found this as we thought our optimistic was broken. It's great to have the 'fire' effect working again. Good value for money compared to a replacement from the manufacturer.

Great value for money compared to genuine part
Our optimist fire stopped working and I traced the fault to this transducer. Fitted it and we were back up and running in no time. we have had a few issues getting it to work after it has switched off and found that we had to turn the fire off at the wall, off at the fire and back on at the wall and back on at the fire in this combination and it it would start working again. This seems to have fixed itself now so no complaints for the price paid. I tried the discs in the old transducer but they made no difference so not sure if the transducer was totally broken or it was the discs.

Short term solution
Used with Dimplex Beckley fire.Lasted only 3 months then stopped working.Was working well up to that point.Had removed 2 of the bulbs out of the fire and smoke effect was still very good.

Failed after 3 months
Used it to replace a transducer which was producing less smoke effect in Dimplex Burgate Optimyst heater. We use the fire a lot and its 3 years old. Replacement part worked fine for about 3 months and smoke effect returned to excellent. Then the fire started cutting out, which I think is due to an overheat safety sensor. I reverted to the original transducer and cutting out behaviour stopped (smoke effect returned to poor) but at least the fire is stable .This transducer appears to be unreliable and causes overheat which makes me uncomfortable using it.
