I really liked how easy the install was, everything linked right up after first initial charge of license plate cover. Very easy to use and navigate through. Only thing is the double sided. Tape did not stick well to my dashboard, screen seems to be too heavy for the tape, but used other double-sided tape and works amazing!

PURCHASED THIS IN JUNE 2024 INSTALLED AS PER THE INSTRUCTIONS IT STOPPED CHARGING IN AUGUST . CALLED TYPE S [THE MANUFACTURER} AND THEY PLAYED LTHE ROPE A DOPE FOR A WEEK DID NOT WANT TO HONOR THE WARRANTEE. AFTER A COMPLAINT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THEY SENT ME A NEW ONE TOLD ME TO THROW THE OLD ONE AWAY.RECEIVED AND INSTALLED THE NEW ONE AND IT FAILED IN EXACTLY 8 WEEKS WILL NOT CHARGE EITHER SOLAR OR OFF THE CHARGE CABLE.CALLED TYPE S FOR A REFUND THEY TOLD ME IT'S AMAZONS PROBLEM AMAZON WILL NOT REFUND BECAUSE IT'S OVER 60 DAYS. IN MY OPINION THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND THE COMPANY DOES NOT STAND BEHIND IT. IT'S A SHAME BECAUSE FOR THE TWO MONTHS YOU GET OUT OF THE UNIT IT WORKS AS ADVERTISED BUT ONCE IT FAILS IT IS WORTHLESS AND THE COMPANY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND IT. POOR QUALITY, NOT RELIABLE, NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!

I’ve had a type s on my FJ for about 10 years. Lots of mud and dirt( and abuse). Still works as good as the day I got it.The new unit is bigger, heavier( duty) with more features. Highly recommended.

Camera is full of features. I tried competitors in the same price range, but this camera works better and has a stable output. Sometimes , there are delays because of weak battery, but competitors are even worse. Suction cup is tricky to attach also. The unique feature is distance alarms and gestures activation. I wish a better battery, though. It doesn’t charging in a full even car is staying outside.

It works as advertised. The support from the company is excellent. Answering questions patiently. Pressing "+" directly on the monitor without going into settings to turn sound alert off, which could be quite annoying when you put it on the front (yes, it can be used as the front parking assistance) while approaching a tight parking space.

Installation was easy, very good image quality, Changing settings can be accomplished, however practice is required. Problem encountered was camera battery would not retain a charge, and as others has commented , the recharge message would show on the screen making the system useless. This item was returned and I ordered another one from Amazon, if that one has the same issue, I will try another manufacturer.

Very satisfied with product, instructions and installation. This is my 2nd system from this company ( 1st one about10 years old and still working perfectly)

This is my fault. I saw the reviews that said the camera would not hold a charge, but I thought, “Hey, the car this is on sits outside in the sun all day, it’ll be OK.”Boy, I could not be more wrong.Now the interesting news is that the initial charge lasted long enough that it’s outside of Amazon’s ridiculous return window.So now, I’m stuck with a $200 camera that’s useless and doesn’t charge is Oklahoma’s 16 hours of sun per day.Do not be like me. Do not waste your time or money on this terrible product.
