NIV, Super Giant Print Reference Bible, Leathersoft, Pink, Red Letter, Comfort Print Imitation Leather – Large Print, March 13, 2018

This Bible is so lovely. I am very happy I purchased it. The type is indeed super giant. I can read it from a long distance, not to mention not having to get out a magnifying glass and still be having difficulty. I love the comfort type, which I think must mean a somewhat bold type. I have comfort type in another Bible that is a smaller point and that is the similarity I am seeing. Comparing a 12 point type and a 12 point comfort type, the boldness of the print appears to be the difference to me. I also love that the pages do not glare and are thicker than the slimline editions and my study Bibles, both of which I must be careful with when marking or making notes. I do not consider it overly large or heavy. Definitely larger and heavier than my slimlines but nothing compared to my study Bibles. This Bible does not have gilded edges which makes me happy because they do not stick together. The gilding always wears off of mine anyway. I purchased this Bible just for reading. To be able to sit down and be able to just read with ease. It is not meant to be a study Bible, there are no bells and whistles other than some references, a dictionary concordance and a table of weights and measures. It is exactly what I wanted it for except for one disappointment, no ribbon marker. Since this is what I use for "reading through" the Bible, a ribbon marker is most wanted. I am using a bookmark, which have a tendency to get misplaced or fall out, while trying to decide if there is a way for me to put a ribbon in without harming it. This is actually the only Bible I have ever purchased that did not have a ribbon so I didn't think to check if it did. I'm usually busy making sure the ones I purchase are red letter editions, which I also love, and this one is. I will say the "leathersoft" isn't as soft as leather but I am hoping it will soften and feel more leather like in time. I would have liked to have rated this 4.5 stars because of the ribbon factor, but have given it 5 stars because it deserves more than 4. It is pure pleasure to read and I hope this is the one that I will be able to see the rest of my life.

Pretty color and the print is easy to read

If you’re considering this Bible, don’t hesitate. The print is large, where I don’t need readers and my eyes aren’t strained. The pink/mauve exterior is super pretty but the message inside the Bible is more beautiful. ❤️

I love the size of it and how understandable the scriptures are. I have been getting lots of compliments about my bible and I keep it protected with the cardboard casing that comes over it

I was beyond happy to find a bible in big lettering so I could read along when my pastor reads passage! Finally!
