The socks don’t cut off circulation

I love the socks and they dont put any pressure on my chunky ankles or calves. However, the plastic thread they have holding them together made a hole in 2 of the socks when taking them apart. I cut the plastic end but the sock thread weave is so loose the other end gets tangled in the sock and snagged holes.

Under Product information > Materials & Care, it says these socks are 100% cotton. When it arrived, in box, it says 97% Polyester, 3% Spandex, as shown in the pictures. I wore a pair and they have plastic feeling as well. I bought these socks thinking they'd be cotton. Asked for a refund, buyer beware
