Hydroponics fun
The media could not be loaded. Small but does the job. Having loads of fun with it.

Cracked Tank
I finally had a chance to put my tower together and the water tank is cracked. Not sure how I'm going to plug it. Otherwise, the setup was pretty easy.

The design does not work.
I have a lettuce grow machine and this one. I have put the same plant seedlings and the solution in both. Both towers are in the same environment. However, After multiple tries, every time the plants in this one die. The other one survives and thrives. The only thing I can attribute to is the design.

My vertical planting adventure
The media could not be loaded. I’m a notice to vertical planting, though I own several tabletop hydroponic planters. Like many people interested in gardening, I’ve seen the TikTok videos about vertical planting and since my space is oh-so-limited, I decided this could possibly be for me. So far the planter is great but I’m still in the discovery phase in terms of generating a good yield, what to plant, how to plant, etc.The planter is easy to set up out of the box. Parts are solidly constructed and there’s no concern there. I was able to get it pumping water in no time. The planter came with two different types of planting medium: one which is a cube shaped peat moss or other similar looking substrate, and the other which is made of white loose-cell man made foam. I am familiar with the brown cubes (or cones in the case of my other planters) so I selected those and they’re easy to plant in.The water pump minics the sound of an outdoor fountain. I am not opposed to it, but it does make a trickling sound as the water cascades down the inside of the planter. I also got a fair amount of water spray when the openings were not filled, so I’ll be sure to keep the parking lot full. And lighting? Oh my gosh, I hadn’t considered it so carefully at the onset as my other planters have integrated lighting. I don’t have a place outdoors with electricity for the pump so it needs to live inside. I’ve researched and purchased some vertical lighting for this and hope I’ve done my homework. Vertical lighting needs space from the planter and the footprint is much less diminutive when lighting is added. For outdoors (with no lighting) this will be quite small. With lighting, I’ve come to discover that the footprint for 30 pods is not so space-saving compared to my other planters. Still very reasonable, but not a huge advantage yet.My overall impression is that the planter is fun and well-made. It looks really cool and I am excited to see things grow. I also like trying an approach outside of my comfort zone. Will it give greater yields compared to my tabletop planters? Dunno yet. What I can say is that the product was easy to assemble and that it seems to be carefully constructed. Instructions for assembly are good. There are no further instructions for planting or use of the planter which makes for bit of an adventure from this point, so I’ll be reading some info online and learning as I go, but so far I’m enjoying it.

Grow-tastic Simple Hydroponic Starter...
This hydroponic growing system is simple and ingenious at the same time. The design allows you to essentially choose the number of levels that you wish to plant while giving each level the perfect amount of water and nutrients. The simplisticness of how the water is pumped from the reservoir and then dropped down to the upper plants which take what they need and then pass the rest along, only to have it all happen again and again. I didn't care about having a grow light as I already had enough of those lying around. I was a little disappointed that the "Smart" part of this hydroponic system was a Smart plug that uses the "Smart Life" APP. It's the same round-style Smart plug that is made by hundreds of different vendors. The great thing, if the plug dies it's easy to replace. (I later noticed that the description of the contents included does state a Smart plug. However, all of the product pictures try to lead you to believe a special APP drives this hydroponic garden.) One note of importance, if you do take this garden inside, make sure to prepare the site for water splashes. One major issue of note is the difficulties in finding an exact replacement for the "coir seed starters". Sure, you can find tons of this type of starter, but finding the exact shape is where the difficulties lie. It's highly possible that as long as it fits at all is the only important factor, but I have yet to find where anything is mentioned concerning this.🐻 *Statement/Disclaimer: This review is part of Amazon's Vine Program which provides products at a reduced cost in exchange for sincere/frank reviews.
