Q: Is there supposed to be a protective seal? My order had a small opened blue bag surrounding the fondant. Not sure if this is safe to use.

If the tab was missing, and the blue bag opened, I'd be quite concerned. These are there normally as safety assurances that the product hasn't been tampered with. I wouldn't use it.
